HUGHES, John F. (Goatstown, Dublin 14) - (peacefully) 18th August 2024, at St. Vincent’s University Hospital. Beloved husband of his darling Joan and much loved father of Paul, Joannie, Mark, Tina, Helen, Trish, Hillary and Barbara. He will be sadly missed by his family, daughters-in-law Gay and Thérèse, sons-in-law Job, Eugene, Colin, Dave and Barry, his nineteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, especially those at Grange Golf Club and his former colleagues in Greencore (previously Irish Sugar). Rest in Peace. Reposing in Fanagans Funeral Home, Main Street, Dundrum tomorrow (Wednesday) from 3.00 to 5.00 pm. Removal on Thursday morning to the Church of St. Thérèse, Mount Merrion for Funeral Mass at 10.00 am, followed by burial at Bohernabreena Cemetery. O'DRISCOLL, Sr. Maeve CP, (Sisters of the Cross and Passion, 22 Griffith Avenue, Marino, Dublin 9) - August 17th 2024, peacefully, at the Mater Hospital. Beloved daughter of the late Elizabeth and Alph. Deeply regretted by her loving sister Patricia, brother-in-law Joe (Phelan) nephews John and his wife Maureen and Paul and his wife Willemien, niece Sheila and her husband Aaron (Golden), grandnephews Finn and Louis, grandnieces Cait, Rosalie, Eavan and Evelien, her Cross and Passion Community and her many friends in Peru and Chile. McGLADE, Terry (née Walsh) (late of Port-na-Blagh, Belfast, Cork, Dublin, Marble Hill, Co Donegal) - 18th August 2024. Beloved wife of the late Bernard. Sadly missed by her children Dermot, Anne, Barney, Afric, Nina, Mary, Catherine, John, Elizabeth, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday 20th August at Holy Cross Church, Dunfanaghy at 12 noon, followed by burial at Doe Cemetery, Creeslough. GIVEN, Fred (Bushypark, Galway, Emeritus Professor of Surgery, University Hospital, Galway) - 17 August 2024 (peacefully) at home. Beloved husband of Kathryn, loving father of John, Mark and Elaine, adored, granddad to Hugh, Jack, Rory, Mai, Robyn, George and Eve. Predeceased by his brother Pat and sister Monica. Sadly missed by his wife and children, daughter-in-law Fi, grandchildren, the extended family, friends and former colleagues. O'CONNOR, Colm (Goatstown, Dublin) - 16th August 2024, peacefully at St Vincent's University Hospital after a short illness. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Jo and twin brother Kieran. Colm will be deeply missed by his sister Carmel, brothers Maurice, Oliver and Ray, brother-in-law David, sisters-in-law Mary, Barbara and Kim, his thirteen nieces and nephews, his grandnieces, grandnephews, aunt, uncles, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends. May his gentle and loving soul Rest in Peace. Removal on Tuesday morning (20th August) to the Church of the Holy Cross, Dundrum, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10.30am, followed by burial at Shanganagh Cemetery.
