LAWLESS - Renée (late of Kilcoole and Rathmines) who died June 22, 2024. Remembered with very great affection by many, especially today, 19 August, her birthday.

DALY, Patrick Joseph (P.J.) (Monkstown, Co. Dublin and late of the IDA) August 14, 2024. Peacefully, following a short illness, surrounded by his wife and children in the care of St. Vincent’s University Hospital. He was a loving husband to Mary and beloved by his children Paul, Elizabeth, Nicholas and Alice, grandchildren Conor, John, Aidan, Peter, Kilian, Isabel, Abigail and Emma. He will be sadly missed by daughters-in-law Deirdre and Stephanie, sons-in-law Dominik and John, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, wider family, friends, neighbours and former colleagues in IDA. Funeral Mass this (Monday) morning at 10am in St. Patrick’s Church, Monkstown followed by burial in Kilternan Cemetery Park, D18 X22C. For those that cannot attend, the Mass can be viewed online using the Church webcam. No flowers please. Donations, in lieu of flowers to Barretstown Kids Camp. Rest in peace.

KIRBY, Tom (Of Clancy Strand and Thomondgate, Limerick) - We are heartbroken to say that Tom passed on 12th August 2024. We will miss him deeply especially Rita, his beloved wife of 63 years, his five children Elizabeth, Jimmy, Ruth, Ted and Joanne his five grandchildren Jamie, Kiya, Anita, Joel and Theo. His siblings Michael and Marguerite, his sons and daughter-in-law Ray, Rebecca and Doug all mourn him, as do his nieces and nephew. Tom will repose at his residence, Northfield, Clancy Strand, Limerick (Eircode: V094 EF8V) on Wednesday, 14th August, from 6pm to 8pm. The Funeral will leave Northfield, walking up Clancy Strand, on Thursday, 15th August at 11am, to arrive at St. Munchin’s Church for Requiem Mass at 11.30am. All are welcome. Burial after, for family only, at Abington Cemetery, Murroe. Messages of sympathy may be conveyed to Griffin’s Funeral Home. Tom is soaring higher than the eagles.

CASEY (née FENTON) - Teresa (August 17, 2023) (Dublin and Cork) On our dear mother's First Anniversary (and our late father Barry Casey's recent 21st Anniversary) Claire, John Fenton, Hilary and Louise wish to acknowledge and thank everyone who sympathised with us on our mother's passing, those who attended her funeral in person and on-line, shared fond stories of her and sent us many wonderful cards and posted condolences remembering her genuine warmth, great intellect, vitality and fun. We hope you will take this acknowledgment as our sincere appreciation. We especially thank her wide circle of friends including her former work colleagues from UCD and Loreto Bray. We acknowledge the kindness and support shown to her and us over the long years of her illness by extended family, neighbours and friends, and especially the outstanding care shown to her by the team at the Orchard daycare in Blackrock, her GP Dr McCrory and carers. We thank the Foxrock Parish team for their guidance and lovely Funeral Mass. We thank our families, friends and relatives for their support and understanding during our ongoing heartbreak to be without her.

Reposing at his home on Monday from 4pm to 7pm. Removal on Tuesday to The National Maritime Museum of Ireland, Haigh Terrace, Dun Laoghaire, Co. McDERMOTT - Michael (Fifth Anniversary, 19 August) - Beloved of Emer, Conor, Hugh, Lydia, Billy, Leni, extended family and dear friends.

WILLIAMS, After 59 years of holding hands with the love of his life, Graham died peacefully on August 13th, 2024. He will be forever missed by his wife Bernadette. He has been the adored father of Emma, Anna and Gavin, father-in-law to Todd and Sarah, and beloved grandfather to Conor, Dylan, Freya, and Casper. Beloved too by his niece Kathy, and nephews Nigel and Michael. As the co-founder and President of the Irish Tax Institute founded in 1967, he was proud of the role he played in promoting the study and discussion of tax legislation in Ireland. He was held in high esteem by his many former colleagues and friends. The Williams family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care Graham received during his final illness from the staff at The Fern Dean Nursing Home in Blackrock. His remains have been donated to Medical Science at Trinity College Dublin. Donations, if desired, to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland.

RICE, Professor Thomas Maurice (Zurich and Dundalk) - 18th July 2024 peacefully in Zurich. Beloved husband of Helen and loving father of Peter, Susan and Margrit. Predeceased by his brother Peter. Burial has taken place in Zurich.
