SHERLOCK, Malachy (22nd August 2023) - In his 95th year. Late of Union Hall, Cork and formerly of Dublin and Derry. Peacefully surrounded by his devoted family in the wonderful care and attention of the staff at Orwell Healthcare, Rathgar. Beloved husband of Maura and much loved father of Catherine and Patrick. Predeceased by his sister Claire and his brother John. Sadly missed by his adored grandchildren Emma, Lucy, Manon and Matthew, his sisters Angela and Joan, his sister-in-law Rosemary, his son-in-law Tim and daughter-in-law Raphie, his nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Funeral Mass tomorrow (Friday) 25th August at 11.00 am in the Church of the Good Shepherd, Churchtown, followed by cremation in the Victorian Chapel Mount Jerome Harolds Cross. Family flowers only.

PLUNKETT, John – CIMA (Churchtown and formerly of Ballyhaise, Cavan) August 17, 2023 (peacefully) after an illness borne with great courage and dignity in the Beacon Hospital with his beloved wife Margaret by his side. He will be missed deeply by Margaret, his brothers, sisters, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and his many friends, clients and neighbours. Removal this (Monday) morning to the Church of the Good Shepherd, Churchtown arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am which can be viewed live on http://www.goodshepherdchurchtown.ie/web-cam/ followed by burial at Kilternan Cemetery Park. May his gentle soul Rest in peace

STRATFORD, (née Gilbert) Vivian Amy (Rathfarnham Dublin 16) - August 18, 2023. In the wonderful and tender care of the staff at the Blackrock Clinic after a long and bravely fought illness. So very sadly missed by her loving husband and best friend Niall, her devoted children Nicholas, Robin and Amy together with Fódhla, her grandson Naoise and her special nephew Harvey. Cherished sister of the late Jean, daughter of the late Bobby and daughter-in-law of the late Ralph. Much loved by her mother Amy, brother Robert, sister-in-law Heather, mother-in-law Phyllis, brother-in-law Keith, extended family and wide circle of loving friends. Funeral Service and Thanksgiving for Vivian’s life - tomorrow (Wednesday, August 23) at 11.30am in Calary Church, Calary Upper, Kilmacanogue, Co Wicklow A98 H766, followed by burial in adjoining Churchyard.
