REDMILL, John R. FRIAI (Clonskeagh and formerly of Royal Canal Bank and Farnborough, Hampshire, U.K.) 9th October 2024 following a short illness in St. Vincent’s Hospital. Lifelong partner and best friend of Desmond Barry. Deeply missed by Desmond, Desmond’s sisters, Maria (Lamont), Caroline (Brennan), and brother, Gerard, their spouses, Donal, John, Martina and their children, Catherine, Sarah, Peter, Edmund, Eleanor, and Mark. Also missed by John’s sister, Jackie Haines, her daughter, Zoe, son Stephen and a wide circle of friends in Ireland and England. John will be remembered with love by his grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and by his great friends at the Irish National Opera, in the Irish Georgian Society and the 20 Ghost Club. Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Dundrum this (Monday) afternoon from 4pm to 6pm. A Service to celebrate John’s life will take place tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon at 2.30pm in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross. No flowers please. May he Rest in Peace
