I’m so terribly sad to only now hear of the passing your wonderful mum Valerie. I had the pleasure of being her hair stylist for many years and always looked forward to our chats. My prayers and positive intentions are for you all right now x

I worked with Billy for a few years now. He was always available to help and did it with a smile. He will be dearly missed in our calls where he brought great insight and positive vibes. Billy you will always be missed and it is difficult to come to work knowing you will no longer be with us. Billy was the best neighbour anyone could ask for. He was always cheerful, always offering a helping hand (fixed my dryer a few times), and always ready with a joke. He was a wonderful person and the neighbourhood won't be the same without him. He will be deeply missed. - Matthew

SMYTH, Sarah

On behalf of the Faculty of AHSS, we are deeply saddened to hear of Sarah’s passing. A truly remarkable colleague, she enriched the lives of her students and all who worked alongside her. Warm-hearted and endlessly generous, she offered guidance and support to anyone in need. She transformed the study of literary and cultural translation at Trinity College and was a leading light in the Department of Russian and Slavonic Studies. Sarah stood up for what she believed in and advocated for it with courage and conviction. She will be greatly missed by her many former students, colleagues, and friends. We extend our deepest sympathies to her family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

Carmel O'Sullivan, Dean AHSS, Trinity College
