I have such happy memories of her humour and solid good sense all through our time together in Alex, in the class of 1979. I am so saddened to learn of Prof David John Bouchier Hayes passing in 2009. It's is now 2022 but i wish to thank him posthumously for all the surgery he performed on me from 1974 until 1984. I have never forgotten his warm and friendly presence when he would do his rounds before and after surgery. A wonderful force in medicine, a wonderful human being...RIP.
