Her sister Claire, father Derek and all her many relations and friends. Funeral at 3.30pm on Friday, April 8, at Clarke's Funeral Home, Newtownards Road, Bangor. N.I. Refreshments available prior at Bangor Golf Club from 1.30pm.

I taught Melanie for many years and her smile, kindness and ideas were always evident as soon as she walked into the classroom. Having met her at events later in life I could see they continued to grow even more brightly . My condolences on her passing; my thoughts are with you all.

It was with great sadness that I heard that Melanie had passed away. We were in school together, and she was always such a positive presence. I stayed in touch with her in latter years, and earnestly hoped she would make it through this. My sincerest condolences to her family.
