MORAN OCD, Fr. Willie

As one of his students when he was Dean of St Therese College Castlemartyr it was an absolute privilege to know him. He took brilliant care of us, with humour and firmness when needed but always the utmost care and kindness. He was a terrific role model and I am very sad to hear that the world is now without him. Our very favourite place: Lake Balaton. How we loved swimming and jumping amongst the huge waves in the stormy waters! Your successful job as a Microsoft Hungarian Language Editor allowed you to fulfill the family dream: buy a cottage at the lake and make the investment of a lifetime. You loved to give to all of us and you gave us the best gift one can give: awesome summer experiences of 15 years that all of us can cherish... Miss you, Kriszti.

HARBISON, Dr. Peter

Peter was one of the most truly beloveds in our life. He was aglow with life and beauty. His passionate curiosity and creative brilliance spilled over into every moment we ever spent with him. He was kind to a fault, exuberantly generous, quick to laugh and embrace the moment. His death sent a quake, felt and grieved further than he would ever have imagined. We were so honored to know him as a friend and we will deeply miss him.

DONAGHY, PADDY

Very sorry to hear about the passing of Paddy. Fond memories of being his trainee solicitor in the 1980’s. Paddy was a wonderful role model, a great lawyer and a fantastic man. A rock of common sense and pragmatism, whose wise counsel was sought by so many people. And he was always great company. He will be greatly missed. So sorry to have missed Paddy’s funeral yesterday but watched it online, and the tributes by his two children were very fitting and true. May he Rest in Peace.

McGINTY, Sr. Tríona SSL

As we approach the one year anniversary of Sr. Triona’s death, I fondly remember her as a teacher of sciences at Louisville High School, California. She would begin each class with a prayer. They weren’t always Catholic but stressed the universal values of faith that we all share. As a teacher I have to say that she was TOUGH but always FAIR. She has been such an amazing influence on my life.

JOHNSTON, June

I was very sorry to hear of June’s passing. While my childhood memories of her are a little vague, I know she and Fred were good friends of our parents and we all had great family holidays in our cottage in Tourmakeady. I think the last time I met June was at the funeral of a dear school friend of mine. I was sitting beside June and remember her being very kind to me.
