MEADE, CM Fr. Bernard (St. Paul’s Sybil Hill, Raheny) - August 1st, 2023, peacefully, aged 84years. Adored brother of Marie, beloved son of the late Kathleen and Patrick. Sadly missed by his cousins, Vincentian Confreres and many colleagues and friends. Lying in repose at The Vincentian Residence, Sybil Hill Road, Raheny from 4.00-6.00pm Thursday 3rd August. Requiem Mass 10.30am Friday 4th August, St. Peter’s Church, Phibsborough, followed by burial in Balgriffin Cemetery. Deep gratitude to Nurse Eileen Maher, the Sisters and staff at Nazareth House and the carers and staff at St. Paul’s Residence for their care of Fr. Bernard.

August 1, 2023. Peacefully at the Mater Hospital. Predeceased by her beloved son Shane, parents Michael and Sadie (late of Ballybay) and her much loved daughter-in-law Deirdre. Beloved wife of the late Thomas (Tom) and dear mother of Maureen, Hubert, Rena, Helen, Mark and the late Walter. Sadly missed by her loving family, daughters-in-law Fiona and Ruth, sons-in-law Peter and David, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. R.I.P. Reposing at her home tomorrow (Thursday) evening from 4.00pm to 8.00pm. WOODCOCK, Brian, (Foxrock, Co. Dublin), July 31, 2023 - Following a long illness borne with strength and dignity, Brian will be sorely missed by his loving wife Janice (Nee Burke), Daughters Lisa and Gina, Sons Mark, Peter and John, Brothers Paul and Henry, Sons-in-law Morgan and Ian, Daughters-in-law Sarah and Aoibhne, his 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and his wide circle of friends. CASSIDY, Vera (née Doran) (Dunboyne, Co Meath and late of Phibsboro, Dublin 7) passed away peacefully July 29, 2023 at St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown. Beloved wife of the late Séamus. She will be sadly missed by her loving son Robert, brother Patrick, sisters-in-law Attracta, Nora and Mary, brother-in-law Jack, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. SMYTH, Christopher J. (Christy) (Windmill Lodge, Mullaghea, Kells, Co. Meath) - July 30th 2023, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Christy was deeply loved by his wife Adela, sons Alan (Galway), Gordon (Lavey), daughter Alison (Atlanta). He was a loving and proud Papa to his five grandchildren, Cian, Dylan, Finn, Charlie and Erin. He will be greatly missed by his two sisters Renee Ryan (Hurdlestown) and Margaret McGovern (Balrath), son-in-law Tom, daughters-in-law Siobhan and Lorraine, sister-in-law Rosaleen, brothers-in-law Michael (Carlow), and Fr Austin (USA), his many nephews and nieces, former business colleagues, neighbours, many friends and the wider golfing community, particularly his beloved Headfort Golf Club. LEENANE, Fr. Mark (St Vincent De Paul Parish Osterley, London, Glendown, Templeogue, Dublin and Ballinderry, Tipperary) 6th July 2023. Fr Mark died unexpectedly at his home in Osterley, in the presence of his loving family following a short illness. Beloved son of Michael and Eileen, brother of John, Andrea, Eleanor, Ivor, Ronan and Miriam. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his parents, siblings, brother-in-law Andrew, sisters-in -law Linda, Tanya and Jenny, nieces and nephews Jennie, Julie, Harvey, Ewan, Michael, Jake, Tilly, Elijah and Ephraim, godparents Bill and Máire, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren, parishioners, colleagues, many friends and neighbours.
