JENNINGS - Mary, Baldonnell, Co Dublin, and formerly Craughwell Co Galway, 6th May 2026. Beloved wife and best friend of Christopher Hone, and devoted mother to Timothy. Deeply regretted by Christopher, Timothy and her daughter in law Sarah, her brothers Fr Gerard Jennings (Salthill, Co. Galway), Vincent, Cyril and Raymond, her sisters Caroline, Florence and Clare, nephews and nieces, extended family, neighbours, and her many friends and colleagues around the world. Mary dedicated her life to helping others through her work in international development and will be remembered for her kindness, wisdom, generosity and warmth, as well as for her love of travel, gardening and family. A celebration of Mary’s life will be held on Saturday, 9th May, at 10am in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross, D6W HY98 followed by cremation. FITZGERALD-CLERY - (née Fitzgerald) Marie (Barna Road, Knocknacarra, Galway and formerly Drumcondra, Dublin) 5th May, 2026. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our dear Mum; Predeceased by her parents James and Mary, husband Brendan and her beloved daughter Noelle. Deeply mourned and sadly missed by her children Kevin, Cormac, Brendan, Anna-Marie and Dermot, daughters-in-law Jacinta, Mairead, Yaidi and Zarah, son-in-law Jonathan, grandchildren Daragh, Robert, Jack and Dylan, Colin, James and Ella, Callum and Allanah, the extended family and friends. On Friday, 8th May, 2026 Marie will lie in Repose at the O'Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91V1K8) from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. On this Saturday, 9th May Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Marie on arrival at the Church of St. John the Apostle, Ballymoneen Road, Knocknacarra at 11 a.m. Following Mass, she will be laid to rest in Rahoon Cemetery. MAHER - Noel (Knocknacarra Road, Salthill, Galway) - 6th May 2026, Noel completed his life’s journey, surrounded by his dearly loved family following the exceptional care he received by the wonderful medics, carers, and all who supported and comforted him during his short illness which he fought with grace and dignity. Predeceased by his beloved parents Bartholomew and Pauline and sister-in-law Clodagh.

Deeply mourned by his devoted and heartbroken wife Aideen, daughter Jane, sons Alan and David, son-in-law John, daughters-in-law Lesley and Ann-Marie, precious grandchildren Lee, James, Oliver, Erica, Joshua and Sophia all of whom he was immensely proud of. Fondly remembered by his much loved siblings James, John, Marguerite and Norrie, sisters-in-law Ann, Angela and Mary, brothers-in-law Dermot, Donal, Larry and Rory, nephews and nieces, extended family, lovely friends and neighbours. On today (Friday), 8th May 2026 Noel will lie in Repose at the O' Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue. Private Cremation on tomorrow (Saturday). No flowers please. THOMPSON - Maurice, Bohermore, Cashel, Co. Tipperary, May 6th 2026, peacefully in his 95th year. Walsh, Maureen (née Gilfedder) (Old Bawn, Tallaght) - Died May 5, 2026, aged 92, peacefully at home in the company of her loving family. Pre-deceased by her loving husband Noel, son, John Peter Mary, dear sister, Connie, and brother-in-law, Don. Sadly missed by her loving daughters, Miriam and Ruth, son-in-law Conan, beloved granddaughter, Fíbí, sister-in-law, Ann, relatives and many friends. Maureen will also be missed by her canine companions, Willow and Bundee, and her many 4 legged and feathered animal friends.

COURTNEY - Michael Joe (Donnybrook, Dublin) 28th April 2026 (peacefully) at The Royal Hospital, Donnybrook, in his 102nd year. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth and father of the late John and Declan. Sadly missed by his son Thomas, granddaughters Leah and Genyfer, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at the Royal Hospital and St. Vincent’s University Hospital for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Joe.

Grainne – (Blackrock, Co. Dublin, formerly of Carrick, Co. Donegal) – May 6th, 2026, peacefully at Ashbury Nursing Home.

Sadly missed by her devoted husband Gerard, brother Seán, her loving children Shane, Victoria, and Garrett, her adored grandchildren Alice, Andrew, Ethan, and Evan, son-in-law and daughters-in-law Maria, William, and Denise, extended family, neighbours, and friends.

Grainne is predeceased by her beloved siblings Liam, Dermot, Anna, and Thérese. Reposing at Massey Bros. Funeral Home, Newtown Park, A94 X308 on Friday, May 8th from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Saturday morning (May 9th) to the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock, arriving for Reception Prayers at 9:40am, followed by family words of appreciation. Sr Margaret (Religious Sisters of Charity) May 6th, 2026 (Providence, St. Mary’s Merrion. Dublin) Predeceased by her parents John and Imelda Ivers (nee Sheehan), her brother Jim, and her Sisters Kathleen, Imelda, Mary, and Eilis, r.i.p.
