DOHERTY, James (Jim). 13 Coolraine Estate, Ennis Road, Limerick and formerly Ballina, Co. Mayo. Retired Teacher, Ard Scoil Rís. Unexpectedly, in the presence of his family, at University Hospital Limerick, on 29th June 2025. Predeceased by his daughters Carmel and baby Ellen-Kate. Jim will be sadly missed by his loving wife Cathleen, son Pat, son-in-law Loïc, brothers Patrick (Junior) and Noel, sisters-in-law Bernadette and Brigid McNamara and her husband Melvin, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and his many friends. McGOWAN, (née Neville) Angela (Killester, Dublin 3) on 28th June, 2025 (peacefully) in the exceptional care of the staff of St. Patrick’s Care Home, Baldoyle. Pre-deceased by her loving husband Edward (Ted) and granddaughter Little Mir. She will be deeply missed and remembered with so much love and affection by her sons Philip and Austin, daughters Ann, Lilian and Miriam, daughters-in-law Cathy and Joanie, son-in-law Jim, partners Ed and Paul, her cherished grandchildren Austin, Lynn, Ruth, Martin, Chappie, Jessica, Erica, Josh, Eva and Emily, her greatgrandchildren Florence, Paige, AJ, Jack, Hannah, Charlie, Frankie, Chloe, Bobby, Teddy, Annabelle, Leo, Zac, Jaxon, Sam, Louie and Theo, her relatives and many friends, especially Lorraine, Joe and Donna. HACKETT, Thomas (Tomás, Tom) (Kinvara, Co. Galway, previously Carlisle Street, Dublin 8). 29th June 2025. Peacefully in the excellent care of the staff in Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services Harold's Cross after a long illness bravely borne. Beloved son of the late Bridget (Jappie) and Willie Hackett, husband of the late Finula. Much loved brother of Liam, Padraig and the late Maura, brother-in-law to Margaret, Marian and George. Tomás was a dearly loved uncle to Teresa, Fiona, Lisa, Conor, Ailbhe and Eoghan, granduncle to Mercy, Lola, Mylo, Ada, Lía and Ruadhán and he had a wonderful circle of friends and neighbours including Moodie and Claire, Utz and Thirza, Darren and Joanne. KELLY O.P., Sr. Katie (Donatus), Dominican Convent, Taylor’s Hill, Galway, died peacefully in the tender care of the Sisters and Staff on 28th June, 2025. Predeceased by her parents, Joe and Síle, her siblings, John, Annie, Niall, Bríd, Padraig, Sadhbha and Seosamh. MONNELLY, Kate (Kathleen) (Dawson Court, Cross Ave., Blackrock, Co Dublin) June 26, 2025, peacefully in her 94th year, in the kind care of Belmont Nursing Home, and her devoted carer Adela. After a long and fruitful life, overcoming many difficulties. She will be greatly missed by her sisters Peggy, Rita, Patricia, Frances and Bernadette (Bey), her nieces and nephews, and their families and especially by her dearly loved niece Emer, and also her many dear friends and relations.
