John (Blackrock, Co. Dublin and formerly Convent Road, Dun Laoghaire) 1st March 2026. Peacefully, in the care of the staff at St. Vincent’s University Hospital. Beloved husband of Mary and devoted father of Alexandra, John, Marie, Paul and Robert. He will be sadly missed by his wife, daughters, sons, daughter-in law Isabel, son-in-law Neil, grandchildren Graham, Artie, Jennifer, Lydia, Alison, Ben and Darragh, great-granddaughter Amelia, brother Noel, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Reposing today (Tuesday) from 3.30pm to 5.30pm in Fanagans Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown (A94 XK28). Funeral tomorrow (Wednesday) arriving at the Church of the Guardian Angels, Newtownpark Avenue, Blackrock at 9.40am for Reception Prayers and Words of Remembrance ahead of the Funeral Mass at 10am. This will be followed by burial in Deansgrange Cemetery.

(née Devereux) Florence (Monkstown Co Dublin and late of Willow Grove, Delgany) March 1st, 2026. Peacefully, after a long illness borne with patience and humility. Beloved wife of John, adored mum of Kirstin, John (Shoni), Damian, Marie-Thérèse, Selina, Sorcha, Robert (Bobbie), Orla and Bláthnaid. Sadly missed by her husband and children, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, her 23 adored grandchildren, extended family and friends. Funeral Mass at 10am tomorrow, Wednesday (4th March) in St. Patricks Church Monkstown followed by burial in Kilternan Cemetery Park. GETHINGS - John Robert Chamberlain (Kilmacanogue and formerly of Greystones, Co. Wicklow) - February 28, 2026, passed away peacefully at home, in the presence of his loving family. Predeceased by his beautiful wife Dorothy A. Gethings, parents John H. Gethings and Kezia O. Gethings. Remembered with so much love by his family, his loving daughters Sonja, Vivien and Christina, his adored grandchildren, Abigail, Caleb, Chloe, Jacob, Elliot and Theodore, sister Dawn, and sons-in-law Daniel, David and James. He will be sadly missed by his family, relatives, friends and neighbours. Funeral Service on Thursday (March 5) at 12:00 noon in Christ Church, Delgany, followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard.

BYRNE - Billy (William) 1st March 2026, peacefully in the excellent care of the staff at St Joseph’s Hospice, London, Ontario, Canada. Formerly of Sydney, Australia and Sandyford Dublin. Darling and adored husband of Lisa and dearly loved father of Oisín and Raffy. Forever missed by his heartbroken parents Teresa and Davy, his parents in law Kent and Maxine. His siblings Paul, Dmitri, Nicol, Elise and Niamh, his brother and sisters in law, nieces and nephews, many cousins, relatives, friends and colleagues at Canada Life.

Billy will be forever missed and never forgotten. He was one of a kind. Funeral will take place in Canada at a future date.

Beloved wife of the late Eamonn, loving and much-loved mother of Djinn (Jean), Shane and Ruth. Evelyn will be forever loved and dearly missed by her son and daughters, their partners Richard, Margaret and Conor, her adored grandchildren Hazel, Robbie and Ivan, extended family, relatives and friends. DILLON - Marie (née Crawford), Clareview, Limerick and formerly of Cratloe and Donegal Town. Marie passed away peacefully on 27th February 2026 in the presence of her loving family and in the excellent care of the staff of Four Ferns Nursing Home in Foxrock, Dublin. Beloved wife of the late Joe. Dearly loved mother of Antoinette, Pauline, Patrick, David and Anna-Marie. Sadly missed by her daughters-in-law Ann and Carol, sons-in-law John, Joe and Moss. Marie was the very proud granny of David, Mark, Claire, Katie, Andrea, Gillian, Jonathan, Sarah, Ryan, Rachel, Jack and Laila. Fondly remembered by her sisters and brothers Noelle, Martin, Rita, Goretti, David and Paul, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family, many wonderful friends and neighbours.
