COUNIHAN - (Ballinlough and Blackrock, Cork): On April 27, 2026, peacefully in the tender loving care of all the staff at Marymount Hospice, surrounded by his loving family, DONAL (Former Lord Mayor of Cork and Councillor at Cork City Council and late of UCC, Blackrock Hurling Club and Ballinlough Community Centre), dearly loved husband of Breda, devoted dad to Niamh, Gillian and Kieran, cherished brother of Marie and Sr. Bride. Sadly missed by his loving wife, children, adored grandchildren, Mark, Luke, Matthew, Grace and Ava, brother-in-law Paddy Goulding, sons-in-law Noel Sutton and Kevin Wilson, daughter-in-law Jackie, niece, nephews, relatives and a wide circle of friends. Reposing at the Temple Hill Funeral Home, Boreenmanna Road of Jerh. OConnor Ltd. on tomorrow Thursday (April 30) from 4.00pm to 5.00pm. Requiem Mass at 12.00 noon on Friday (May 1) in St. Michaels Church, Blackrock. Funeral afterwards to St. Finbarrs Cemetery. House Private Please.
