HESSION (Ó hOISÍN), Enda (Dublin and late of Rosmuc, Emeritus Professor, UCD), April 29, 2016, (peacefully) at St. Vincent's University Hospital, beloved husband of Patricia (née Lane) and loving father of Colm, Eamon, Eibhlín and Niall; brother of Eithne (Whelan), Colm, Denis, Phil (McCarthy) and of Paddy and Fidelma (both predeceased); sadly missed by his daughters-in-law MaryRose, Eileen and Tara; grandchildren Lewis, Stephanie, Osgar, Ruairí, Fergus, Louis, Isolde, Conor, Evie, Seán and Rosie; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews and many friends. Thanks to the excellent staff at St. Joseph's, Crinken, Shankill and St. Vincent's for their kindness and care. Reposing at his home on Monday, May 2 from 1.00pm to 4.00pm. Removal on Monday evening to Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock arriving at 5.00pm. Funeral on Tuesday after 10.00am Mass to Templeogue Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to St. Joseph's Crinken or the Alzheimer Society of Ireland. "Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis".

Enda was my professor for my MBS in 1989. he was a fantastic man, I learned so much from him. Very sorry to hear of his passing.
