RYAN, Martin, (Rathfarnham, Dublin 14 and formerly of Church St. Dublin 7), passed away peacefully after a sudden illness surrounded by his loved ones and in the care of the dedicated staff of St. Vincent’s University Hospital on Tuesday March 25, 2025. Beloved son of the late Eddie and Rosaleen. Adored partner of Barbara, devoted Dad to Tara, Martin and Caoimhe, a wonderful Granda to Luan, Aoibhe, Lara, Hugo, Arthur, Stevie and Rosa, friend and father-in-law to John, Mal and Steve. He will be forever loved and always celebrated by his heart broken family, Joy, his brothers and sisters Anthony, Maureen (pre-deceased), Gerard, Edmond and Collette, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends including his golfing companions and fellow racegoers. Rest in Peace. Martin will repose at his daughter Tara’s house today (Friday) from 4-7pm. O'RAFFERTY, Dick, Mount Merrion, - March 25, 2019, (peacefully), in the Beacon Hospital in the presence of his family after a long illness courageously borne. Beloved husband of Colette (Byrne), devoted father to Cian and Emer and beloved brother of Conal and Una. Predeceased by his parents Dickie and Una. Mourned by his family, mother-in-law Sadie, sisters-in-law Mary, Ursula, Bairbre and Natalia , brothers-in-law Tom, Rory, Ian and Mark, nieces, nephews, relatives and his many friends and neighbours. Deeply missed by all who knew him. Reposing at his home tomorrow (Wednesday) evening from 4pm to 7pm. Family and friends welcome. Funeral Mass at 10am on Thursday morning (28 March) in the Church of St Thérèse, Mount Merrion. Burial afterwards in Shanganagh Cemetry, Shankill. Family flowers only.
