BANNON - Patrick (Paddy), late of Lisanover, Ballyconnell, Co Cavan and Sutton, Dublin, died peacefully in his ninety-seventh year, 26 March 2026, in the care of St Patrick’s Care Home Baldoyle. Survived by his wife Pauline, sons Declan, Ultan, Enda and Ross, daughters-in-law Maura and Margaret, sister Pauline, brother Aiden, grand-children Sarah, Róisín, Cúán, Ian, Yvonne, Alecia, Shane, Daniel and great-grandchildren. Pre-deceased by his brothers Francie and Joseph, sister Mary and daughter-in-law Attracta. Family flowers only, donations to the Alzheimer Society. Reposing at Staffords Funeral Home, Portmarnock D13 E0A2, Tuesday 31 March, 5 - 7pm. Funeral Mass, St. Fintan’s Church, Sutton, 10am. Burial, Curtlestown Cemetery, Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow, A98 PF60.

TIERNEY - Eamon, Kitestown, Crossabeg, Co. Wexford - March 26, 2026. Peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Loving and much loved husband and best friend of Niamh. Beloved Dad of Ciara (Boyce), Conor and Daire (Cullen). Adored Granda and Gaga of Ruairí, Conor, Emily, Izzy, Livia, Liam and Tessa. Brother of Nuala and Mary. Eamon will be so sadly missed by his family, by Mark, Ilaria and Ian, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, godchildren, relatives and many friends. Eamon will be reposing at home today (Saturday, March 28) from 2 o’clock to 8 o’clock. Funeral arriving to St. Alphonsus’ Church, Barntown tomorrow (Sunday, March 29) for his Funeral Mass at 2 o’clock. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to SERT - Southeast Radiotherapy Trust. Eamon requested that bright clothes be worn to his funeral. House Private on Sunday morning please.

O'BEIRNE - Tony (Anthony), Clontarf, Dublin. Died September 27, 2025. Tony's wife Geraldine, his children Emma, Rachael and Tony, would like to extend their sincere thanks for the many expressions of sympathy and support shown to them throughout their recent loss. A huge thank you to everyone who visited the funeral home and all those who attended Tony's funeral mass, especially his cousins, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and friends, who travelled long distances to pay their respects. Thank you to those who sent mass cards, letters, condolences online and text messages, and for the many stories shared about his life. Thank you to Prof. Breathnach, and his team in the Bon Secours Hospital, Dublin, all the staff in the Mater Hospital who cared for Tony in his final weeks, and to his care team in St. Francis Hospice, Raheny for all their kindness and support shown to Tony during his illness. A special word of thanks to his long-time friend, Dr. Paddy Kelly, whose constant presence, kindness and support meant so much to Tony and our family throughout the course of his illnesses. Thank you to all at Stafford’s Funeral Home, Portmarnock, especially Donal who helped us greatly on the day, and ensured Tony got the send-off he so warmly deserved! As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere gratitude. A Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.

CARLIN-BOWDEN - (Second Anniversary) - Una, Ciara and Saoirse are rememberd with love and always in our hearts. John, Catríona, Eimear, David and Jill, Ciara's school friends at Salerno Secondary School, Galway, Saoirse's friends at Tullykyne National School, (The new playground opened yesterday in Saoirse's memory) and David's family and friends in Zambia.

BRENNAN - Seán, ADC (March 31, 1976). Fifty years ago my wonderful Dad, a gentle gentleman left us. Remembering him every day with much love and eternal gratitude. his daughter Eithne (Donnellan) and the grandchildren and great grand children who never met him but who are equally proud of him. Not forgetting my wonderful Mum who left us in August 1982.

LANE - Brian E., FRCSI, FRCSEd, FRCS, FACS (Castleknock, Dublin 15).

First Anniversary, 29 March 2026. Beloved and deeply missed by his wife Jean, daughter Louise, son Brian Jnr, brother Dermot and extended family. The family wish to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to all who attended Brian’s lying in repose and funeral service, sent Mass cards, letters and messages of sympathy, and posted tributes on RIP.ie. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Professor Liam Grogan, the staff of the Bons Secours Hospital, Dr Faith Cranfield and the medical and nursing staff of St Francis Hospice Blanchardstown, for the exceptional care, kindness and compassion shown to Brian throughout his illness. We also wish to thank Professor Clive Lee and all of Brian’s colleagues and friends from the Department of Anatomy and Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland for their friendship and support. We are indebted to our wonderful neighbours and friends in Castleknock, whose continued kindness and support have meant so much to us during this difficult time.

Brian will be remembered at 10am Mass on 29th March in Our Lady Mother of the Church, Castleknock.
