Dr. Gerard. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Gerard Hurley on 18th May 2026 in the presence of all his family and in the wonderful care of the staff at Orwell Nursing Home. He will be very sadly missed by his adored wife of 60 years Niamh, children John, Genevieve, Mark and Tara, daughters-in-law Kathleen and Sara, son-in-law Morgan, and beloved grandchildren Clara, Lucy, Isabelle, Madeleine, Francesca and Luca, his sisters Elma and husband Tim, Mary, Pauline and husband Pete, Jeanine and husband Joe, his nieces and nephews: John, Gwen, Deirdre and Joe, his extended family and many friends. Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Aungier St. Dublin 2 today (Thursday) 21st May 2-4pm with family in attendance.

Funeral Mass tomorrow (Friday) 22nd May, 11am at Parish of Sts. Columbanus and Gall, Milltown Road, Dublin 6, with burial immediately afterwards at 1pm at Kilternan Cemetery Park, Ballycorus Road D18X22C. The Mass may be viewed at https://www.milltownparish.ie/web-cam/#top
