MAUGHAN - Michael (Donnybrook, Dublin 4). Passed away peacefully on 26th March 2026 in the wonderful care of the medical team in the Blackrock Hospice. Deeply mourned by his loving wife Gemma, his stepdaughters Fiona, Cristiana, Maria and Alba and their children Freddie, Ella, Luisa, Marina, Conor, James, Stella and Teddy. Sadly missed by his brother Edward, his sisters-in-law, his sons-in-law, nephews and his niece and wider family, friends and colleagues. The funeral has taken place surrounded by his immediate family.

D'ALTON - Maeve (née Power), late of Percy Place, Dublin and Tomnamuck Co. Wexford, died peacefully after a short illness in the hands of the wonderful staff at the Beacon Hospital of whom she could not speak more fondly. Predeceased by her father David and mother Vonnie. Maeve, wife, lifetime companion and supporter of her husband of 50 years David.

Hugely missed and remembered by her children David, Graham, Sandra and Ciara, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, her much loved grandchildren, Darragh, David, Sophie, Christian, Jake, Lucy, Jack, Luke and Toby and her great grandchild Arabella, her sisters Ann and Claire and brothers David and Paul, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces. Maeve will repose tomorrow (Tuesday 31st March) from 2pm to 6pm at her home in Percy Place and will be removed on Wednesday to arrive at The Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium for a memorial and celebration of her life at 14.30pm. Family flowers only please.

MANNING - (née Martin) Patricia (Patsy) (Late of Santry and Calderwood Road, Dublin, and formerly Fermanagh and Mannings Bakery) – 27th March, 2026 (peacefully) at home, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Cecil and loving mother of Sandra, Brian, Damien, Edel, Irene, Osnat, Eamonn, Clare and Trish. Sadly missed by her loving family, sons-in-law Liam, John, Dan and Gordon, daughters-in-law Carol, Pauline and Camila, her fourteen treasured grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Dympna (Martin) and Angela (O’Reilly), nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at her residence this (Monday) evening (30th March) from 4pm to 8pm. Requiem Mass tomorrow (Tuesday, 31st March) at 1pm in the Church of the Holy Child, Whitehall, with Funeral thereafter to Dardistown Cemetery.

EASTWOOD - Gerald (Gerry), Veterinary Surgeon, formerly of Westbrook Court, Midleton, Co. Cork and Cookstown Co. Tyrone. Died peacefully on March 27th 2026, at Ballincurrig Care Centre. Pre-deceased by his beloved wife Philomena. Loving father of Gerald, grandfather of Rory and Cora. Sadly missed also by his daughter-in-law Kirsty, sisters-in-law Angela and Anna, brothers-in-law Derek and John, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. Gerald will repose at Hyde’s Funeral Home, Drury’s Avenue, Midleton, P25VW02, on Monday 30th from 7pm–8pm. Requiem Mass in the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Midleton on Tuesday 31st at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. MacWEENEY DOBBS - Leslie Artist, art educator, and community activist with notable careers in both Ireland and the United States, sadly died, Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at her home in Stoneham, Massachusetts, age 90 years. By her side in her last weeks were her devoted son, Adam Dobbs; also her brother, Alen MacWeeney; her former husband, Paul Dobbs; and her friend, Kathleen McAvoy. Leslie will be terribly missed by her cousins, Conchita Navarro, Trinidad Navarro and Toni Delaney; and so many friends, relatives, students and colleagues on both sides of the Atlantic. A Memorial Celebration for Leslie is planned for June.
