Five years have passed since we lost Dad. Though he may be gone from sight, he remains ever present in our lives. We honour him not just in memory, but in the way we live. Forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered

NEWELL, Fr Eamonn

- 2013

Fr Eamon was my house master in Gormanston college. He was a great mentor and latterly friend. He also presided over my wedding in UCC many years ago. He was also a skilled fly fisherman and looked forward to escaping during his holidays. He was one of the good people.

A great loss to us all. Of a person who was never afraid to share opinions with such wit and acscuracy,. Who enriched us all through her art , Especially in contributing something that our education system for generations has denied us up to very recently, the pictorial truth of how Ireland invited the foreign influence to our lands. She taught us through the Ross Tapestry, , a monumental undertaking, our true history. Something I hope will be treasured by a country that really needs a unchain its true history. For our grand children at least. For our nation to shed the hidden sensored version of our history in so many ways. And to finally join the rest of the world going forward. Our past admitted and understood, and become, finally, part of a modern world You will be missed by those who cared. Xx Reggie Hastings
