NAISMITH, John Paterson (Pat)(Kilternan, formerly of Stepaside) - December 20, 2023, (peacefully) at The Beacon Hospital; beloved husband of Olwen, much loved father of Tara, John and Kerry, cherished grandfather of Jack, Ryan, Matthew. Evan, Ellie, Charlie and Isabelle. Loved and remembered always by his family, sister Pamela and brother Peter, sons-in-law Brian and Mark, daughter-in-law Susanne, sister-in-law Marie Therese, the extended family and a wide circle of friends. BOURKE - On December 18, 2023, William Bourke of Ballyhack, Fairyhouse, Co. Meath. Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family after a short illness at Connolly hospital, Blanchardstown. Predeceased by his infant son Cornelius and his sisters Joan and Ita. Beloved husband and best friend of Gladys, loving dad to Maria and adored grandad of Stephen. William will be sadly missed by his son-in-law Dave, his sisters Anne and Elanor, his brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends. May he rest in peace. Reposing at Mc Entaggart’s funeral home, Ratoath (A85 DW27) from 4pm until 7pm on today (Thursday). Funeral Mass on tomorrow (Friday) at 11am in the Holy Trinity Church, Ratoath followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. 

McDONAGH, Sr. Benignus, Holy Faith Sisters, died peacefully December 20, 2023, in the loving care of the staff of Our Lady’s Ward, Mater Hospital. Late of Marian House, Glasnevin, The Coombe and Rosbercon. Predeceased by her parents, her brothers and sisters. She will be greatly missed by her sister, Sr. Margaret McDonagh (Holy Faith Sisters) her niece, Mary Lenehan, nephew-in-law John, nephew John Macken, niece-in-law Jackie, extended family, all Holy Faith Sisters, staff and residents of Marian House, past pupils of Holy Faith School, Rosbercon where she taught for many years and her many faithful friends. Rest in Peace. Reposing at Marian House, Glasnevin, today (Thursday), December 21, at 4:30pm followed by removal to convent chapel at 6.00p.m. Funeral Mass tomorrow (Friday) December 22, at 11:30a.m. followed by burial in convent cemetery. O'BRIEN, Máire (Mill Street, Galway, formerly Glasnevin and Church Street, Dublin). 18 December, 2023 in the loving care of the wonderful staff at Galway Hospice following an illness borne with great strength and good humour. Dearly beloved and loving Mother of Úna, John, Tim, Des, Deirdre and the late infant Conor, and doting grandmother of Ria. Deeply mourned and very sadly missed by her children, their partners Gerry, Kulveer, Emilia, Karlita and Jamie, all of whom she loved and who loved her very much, her beloved sisters Anne, Margaret and Eleanor and her sister-in-law Angela. Predeceased by her darling brother, Donal. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, extended family and her many friends and neighbours. Reposing at the O'Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91V1K8) today (Thursday) 21 December from 2pm to 3pm. Cremation will take place at Glasnevin Crematorium on tomorrow (Friday) 22 December at 1 p.m. No flowers please. O'DONOVAN, Michael, (Austin, Texas, USA; and formerly of South Avenue, Mount Merrion) 8th November 2023; suddenly, at his home in Austin. Beloved son of the late Seán and Ellen, and brother of the late Caitriona. Mike will be sadly missed by his brother Fergal, sister Marita, brother-in-law Stephen, nieces Elenor and Lucy, nephew Michael, and extended family.
