QUINN, (née MacGuigan) Peggy (Monkstown, Co. Dublin) March 11, 2023. Peacefully, in her 97th year, at home surrounded by her devoted family. Dearly beloved wife of the late Niall and adored mother to Peter, Michael and Margaret. She was much loved by her grandchildren Niall, Harry, Sarah, Andrew and Simon and by her daughters-in-law Niamh and Sandra. Predeceased by her sisters Maire (McLoughlin), Connie (O’Reilly Hyland), Finola (Tangney), Aine MacGuigan and Imelda (Russell). She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Peggy will be reposing at her home tomorrow (Wednesday) evening from 5.00pm to 7.00pm followed by prayers and also on Thursday morning (March 16) in Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown from 9.00am prior to her removal for Funeral Mass at 10.00am in St. Patrick’s Church, Monkstown followed by burial in Deans Grange Cemetery. QUINN - (née MacGuigan) Peggy, Monkstown (First Anniversary) – Died March 11, 2023. As we lovingly remember Peggy on her First Anniversary, Peter, Michael, Margaret and families wish to thank and acknowledge everyone who sympathised with them on the sad loss of Peggy. We offer our sincere gratitude to all who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, texts, emails, those who placed condolences on RIP.ie and who attended the funeral or the live streaming of Peggy’s Funeral Mass. We also wish to express our sincere thanks to Fr. Kevin Rowan, Rev. Eric Cooney, Fr. Dick Quinn and Fr. Anthony Gaughan for celebrating the Funeral Mass. Thanks to Rev. Eric Cooney for his home visits with regular comforting prayers and his graveside prayers. We appreciated very much all the carers who helped with Peggy, “Sharing the Caring” (including Sera and Elizabeth), Home Instead, the Blackrock Palliative Care Team, The Blackrock District Nurses and Dr Karl Kavanagh - Peggy’s GP who cared for her so well. Thanks to Lucy Kelleher for her beautiful solo singing. We thank Carnegies Funeral Directors for their professionalism with the funeral arrangements and to Jenny and the team for assisting with her repose at home. Peggy’s first Anniversary Mass will be offered for all your intentions.
