O'FLAHERTY, Dr. Eileen (née Sexton) (Sea Road, Galway) 21 January, 2025. (Peacefully) in the kind care of the staff of St. Mary's Nursing Home with family by her side. Predeceased by her husband Micheál and by her sisters Clare and Darina. Mourned and sadly missed by her children Ailbhe, Colm, Orla and Dara, grandchildren Cara, Eoin, Micheál, Niamh, Colm, Micheál, Nessa, Aisling, Brian, Laura, Ava and Sarah and by her great granddaughter Maggy born recently in Australia. Eileen will be lovingly remembered by her daughters-in-law Sarah and Kim, sons-in-law John and Ron, brother-in-law Coleman, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Reposing at the O'Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91 V1K8) from 4.30 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. on Sunday (January 26, 2025). Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Eileen at 11 a.m. at St. Ignatius (Jesuit Church), Sea Road (H91 Y544) on Monday (January 27, 2025). Following Mass she will be laid to rest in Rahoon cemetery. ‘Ní bás ach athfhás’

PURSER - Dr. WFC (Michael), Knockanree, Avoca, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Killiney, Co. Dublin, who died peacefully on January 19, 2025,  in his eighty-eighth year, surrounded by his loving family. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Helen, sons Lewis, Vasco, Paddy, Max and Joe, daughters-in-law Mélanie, Sonja, Lesley-Anne, Joanie, brother John, fourteen grandchildren, relations, neighbours and friends, at home and abroad.  Due to weather warnings for today (Friday) January 24, please note change of date for Michael's Funeral Service and Burial.

Michael’s Funeral Service will take place in Holy Trinity Church, Castlemacadam, Avoca, Co. Wicklow, on Sunday January 26, at 12 noon followed by burial in adjoining churchyard.

O'Halloran, Greg (Hal) (Lower Kilmacud Road, Dublin and late of Synge Street CBS). January 22, 2025, passed away peacefully in the care of the wonderful staff at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, beloved husband of Muriel, father of Margaret and grandfather of Thomas and Hannah. Deeply regretted by his loving family, sisters-in-law Margaret, Barbara and her husband James, Mary and her husband Paul, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, carers and friends. His loss will be greatly felt by his many friends in the Ballyroan Church Choir and the Celtic Choristers. Greg will repose at JP Ward & Sons Funeral Home, Sandyford Village (D18C8P7) tomorrow Saturday from 3pm to 5pm. Removal on Monday morning to the Church of the Holy Spirit, Ballyroan arriving for 11am Mass, followed thereafter to Mount Jerome Cemetery. May he rest in peace

O'CONNOR - Mary Enda (née Brennan), Stillorgan, Dublin and Kenmare and formerly of Tubbercurry Co. Sligo. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, in the incredible care of Professor Charlie Gallagher and the team on St. Christopher's Ward, St. Vincent's Hospital on Monday  January 20, 2025. Beloved wife of Cornelius (Con) for 63 years. Adored mother of Deirdre (predeceased), Michael, Maria and Anne. Much loved sister of Mickie and Nora. Predeceased by her brothers Bernard, Nathy and Mattie.

Mary Enda will be greatly missed by her cherished grandchildren Isabella, Matthew, Harry and James, daughter-in-law Stephanie, son-in-law Jim (Shortall). Also sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law Nancy and Tina, relatives, neighbours and many friends. Rest in peace.

Predeceased by her brother Joe and sister-in-law Carmel.
