26th September, 2025, in her 93rd year, peacefully at St. Vincent’s University Hospital.

Predeceased by her brother Austin (John Joe) and her sister Sr Colette (Holy Faith Sisters). A devoted sister and adoring aunt.

Deeply missed by her brother John and her sister-in-law Birgit. Also deeply mourned by her nephew Emmet and his wife Petra and their children Mia and Enda.

She is sadly missed by all her nieces and nephews in Ireland, the US, Germany and Spain, and her adored grandnieces and grandnephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Monica’s wish to reside at home in her final years was made possible by Emmet and his family and the devoted team from Iniscare.

Reposing Thursday, (2nd October), at her residence from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Removal Friday morning to St Mary’s Church, Haddington Road, for 10am Funeral Mass. Burial in Crosserlough Cemetery, Co. Cavan at 2.00 pm (approximately)

MILLER - Desmond (Woodstown, Co. Waterford and formerly of Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow, and Winton Road, Dublin 6, former partner KPMG and past president Dublin Chamber of Commerce) – September 27, 2025, peacefully, in Woodstown, surrounded by his family. Loving father of his and Anna's children, Angus, Rebecca, Samantha, Marcus, Jonathan and the late Jason. Missed terribly by his nineteen adored grandchildren Annabella, Lucy, Finn, Eva, Alanna, Alexandra, Amelie, Cian, Archie, Beatrice, Ronan, Darach, Tessa-May, Louis, Zara, Leonora, Maia, Benjamin and Matthew. Loving brother of Elizabeth, brother-in-law of the late Garry and uncle of Philippa and Gavin. Devoted father-in-law of Dana, Sandra, Miguel, John, Bina and the late Stephanie. Fondly remembered by his cousins and many special friends and neighbours. May he rest in peace. Reception at his home in Woodstown, Co. Waterford on Friday (October 3) from 4.00pm-7.00pm. QUIGLEY - Tom (Gigs) (Batterstown, Co. Meath and formerly of Sutton, Co. Dublin). Passed away peacefully, at home, on September 28, 2025. Beloved husband of Joan (Juno), much-loved dad of Ian and Kate, and doting granddad to Ben, Georgia, Alexandra, Jack, and Daniel. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his son-in-law Ciarán, daughter-in-law Aoife, brother Robin, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours. Remembering also his late sister Patricia. Reposing at his home tomorrow (Wednesday) between 6pm and 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning (October 2) to the Church of the Assumption, Batterstown, Co. Meath arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in Batterstown Cemetery.

EVANS - James G (Jimmy) age 92 – (Churchtown and formerly of AIB) 26th September 2025 (unexpectedly, on his way home from the bookies!). Predeceased by his brother Peter and sister Marjorie. He will be deeply missed and remembered with much love and affection by his sister Jean, brother Douglas, his cherished nieces and nephews, extended family and his very good neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Dundrum on Wednesday (1st October) from 3pm to 5pm. Removal on Thursday morning (2nd October) to the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross arriving for 10am service followed by cremation.

Precious Granny of Tom, Ella, Patrick, Jamie, Maria, Cillian, Ciarán, Annabelle, Liam and Éanna. Very sadly missed by her loving family, sister-in-law Diana, daughters-in-law Ruth and Jayne and son-in-law Craig, nieces, nephews, relatives and wide circle of friends. GRIFFIN - Eamonn (Blackwater, Co. Clare). On Eamonn’s First Anniversary (September 30, 2025) Teresa, Mark, Eoghan and Edward wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to our family members, to all our neighbours and friends, who supported us on the passing of our dearly loved Eamonn.

Our sincere thank you to all who attended the removal and the funeral Mass, who sent mass cards or letters of sympathy. A special word of thanks to our parish priest, Fr. Eamonn Purcell - whose kindness to Eamonn will always be remembered – and to all the priests who concelebrated the funeral Mass.

Thank you to Dr. Fahad Malik and his team in U.H.L, to Dr. Ciara Mahon and Dr. Stefano Savinelli and their teams in St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. Thank you to the palliative care team from Milford Hospice, Limerick, for your wonderful care of Eamonn in the final weeks of his life.

We remember with sincere gratitude the exceptional care that Dr. John Clarke (Eagle Lodge, Limerick) always gave to Eamonn. Eamonn enjoyed the chats and laughter at the weekly car and coffee mornings with the Dan Bohan Vintage Car Club. The marvellous members and friends organized a classic car convoy to Mount St. Lawrence Cemetery – for such a touching tribute, we thank you. As it would be impossible to thank everybody individually, we hope you will accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our sincere gratitude and appreciation. The holy sacrifice Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Eamonn, we carry you in our hearts always.
