Cúis mhór bróin an scéala ó Mhuintir Uí Fhlathartaigh go bhfuil Colm imithe ar shlí na fírinne. Fuair sé bás go suaimhneach Dé Sathairn, an 6ú Nollaig in Ospidéal na hOllscoile, Gaillimh agus a bhean chéile dhílis agus a chlann láimh leis.

Méala mór a bhás ag a bhean Lesley, a iníonacha Sinéad agus Ciara, a mhic Ciarán, Éamonn agus Eoin, a chliamhaineacha Jerry agus Liam, agus a bhanchliamhain Eilish. Aireoidh a gharchlann uathu go mór é freisin – Éabha, Cillín, Colm agus Páidí - a raibh sé chomh bródúil sin astu. Méala mór a bhás freisin dá dheirfiúracha Donla, Eithne, Aighleann agus Ríonach, dá dheirfiúr chéile, Frances, dá nianna agus neachtanna, dá ghaolta, dá chomrádaithe, dá chomhghleacaithe tréidliachta, dá chomharsana agus dá chairde.

Deeply mourned by his wife Lesley, daughters Sinéad and Ciara, sons Ciarán, Éamonn and Eoin, sons-in-law Jerry and Liam and daughter-in-law Eilish. Deeply missed also by his grandchildren Éabha, Cillín, Colm and Páidí all of whom he was immensely proud. Deeply mourned also by his sisters Donla, Eithne, Aighleann and Ríonach, sister-in-law Frances, nephews and nieces, relatives, veterinary colleagues, neighbours and friends. Reposing at the Church of the Holy Family funeral parlour, Mervue, Wednesday, 10th December from 5.00 p.m. Removal to St. Patrick’s Church, Forster Street at 6.30 p.m. Requiem Mass at 11.00 a.m. on Thursday, 11th December. Following Mass he will be laid to rest in Bohermore cemetery. Mass will not be livestreamed Family flowers only please

MURRAY John Ignatius, (Ballinasloe, Dublin and Greystones) - December 10, 2015, (peacefully) at home following a short illness, accepted with philosophical good humour and newfound interests. Beloved husband of Patricia, darling father of Fergal, Dervla and Clara, and proud grandfather of Shane. Deeply regretted by his brother Joseph, sisters-in-law Noreen Murray and Carmel Egan and her husband Charles, nieces and nephews, daughters-in-law Holly, Lynnette and Sasha, his many cousins, and friends in mountaineering, biking and diving. Reposing at home from 4.00pm tomorrow (Sunday). Removal on Monday morning at 10.30am arriving for funeral Mass at 11.00am in the Holy Rosary Church, Greystones, followed by burial at Redford Cemetery.Ar dheis lámh Dé go raibh

FINNEGAN - Prof. Patrick (Pat) (Knocknacarra, Galway and formerly of Loughrea, Co. Galway) - December 5, 2025; Peacefully and surrounded by family at Bon Secours Care Village, Mount Desert, Lee Road Cork. Predeceased by his beloved wife Máire and sisters Alice (Tyrrell), Mary and brother Paul. A wonderful father to his adored children, Emer, Nuala and Niall, and dearly beloved husband of the late Máire. Cherished by his daughter-in-law Carmel, sons-in-law, John and Jonathan and his loving grandchildren Cian, Conor, Cillian, Eoghan, Oisín and Liadan.

Deeply mourned by his sister, Anne O'Máille and brother-in law Ger; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pat Walsh, Donal Murphy, Luke O'Malley, Patricia O'Malley, Catherine O'Malley; and the many nieces and nephews who were frequent visitors at Ard Caoin in Knocknacarra. Sadly missed also by Marianne Ten Cate, his extended circle of friends as well as former colleagues at Galway University Hospital and the University of Galway. The family are enormously grateful to his former carer Mandy Chabale, the staff at Galway Centre for Independent Living, and all at Mount Desert who cared for Pat with such generosity and kindness.

Pat will lie in repose at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8) today (Tuesday), December 9, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. A cremation service will take place at Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harolds Cross, Dublin (D6W HY98) on tomorrow (Wednesday), December 10, at 3 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers to Simon Community in Galway.
