HARRINGTON - Síle (Dalkey, Co. Dublin & Bere Island, Co. Cork) - 31 January 2026. Peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Alan Monnelly. Dear sister of Séamus, Una, Eilís and Colum and the late Seán. Sister-in-law of Martin, Pat, Rita, Ann and the late the Sean and Cath. Aunt of Kara, Lynne, Diane, Yvonne, Fiona, Ian, Darragh, Barry, John, Colin, Sean, Glen and the late Colum and their partners and spouses. Adored grandaunt of 23 grandnieces and grandnephews. Remembered warmly by her extended family of cousins and dear friends. Teacher, scholar, aesthete agus cara dílis. Síle will be reposing at her home on Thursday, February 5 from 4pm to 7pm. Funeral Service to celebrate Síle life will take place on Friday, February 6 at 10am in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harolds Cross. Ashes will be interred in Bere Island at a later date. No flowers please. Donations, if desired to the Irish Hospice Foundation.
