CREATON - Michael (Mick), Massabielle, Fr. Russell Road, Limerick and formerly of Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon. Retired Chief Superintendent, An Garda Síochána. February 1st 2026, the Feast of St. Bridget, peacefully at St. Johns Hospital. Beloved and devoted husband of the late Bridie (Bridget). Predeceased by his brothers Tom, Fr. Séan, Fr. James and his sister Peggy. So sadly missed by his children Geraldine, Donal, John and Deirdre. Much loved grandad of Hugh, Ruth, Aimee, Sophie, Steven and Kara. Michael will also be missed by his daughters-in-law, Mary and Trisha, son-in-law Frank, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. May he rest in peace. Reposing at St. Nessans Church, Raheen, Limerick (today) Wednesday (4th February) from 5pm to 7pm. Requiem Mass will take place (tomorrow) Thursday (5th February) at 12 midday followed by burial in Crecora Cemetery. With a special word of thanks to the excellent staff of GEM unit at UHL and St Johns Hospital for their care attention and kindness following his recent admission and to Dr Jim Fehily and all the staff at Ashdown medical clinic, OMalleys Pharmacy, his loving carers John Williams and Deirdre Cross, for dedicated care over many years.
