PACKER - Gordon, of Coynes Cross, Ashford, Co. Wicklow, previously Bristol, England. Called Home January 16, 2026 peacefully in the loving care of Kilcoole Lodge Nursing Home in his 99th year. Beloved husband of the late Patricia Packer and the late Enid Packer (Bristol). Deeply regretted by his stepchildren Amanda Allen and Neil Grieve, his extended family, and his kind and caring neighbours. Funeral Service in Thanksgiving for the life of Gordon, Saturday (January 24) at 2pm in Nun’s Cross Church, Killiskey Parish, Ashford, Co. HARRISON - Joseph (Joe), Ballsbridge, Dublin; 17th January, 2026; following a short illness. Son of the late Mary-Catherine and John, brother of the late Anthony (13/12/2025). He will be greatly missed by his sister Carmel (Gregory), brother-in-law Allan, relatives, friends around the world and neighbours. May he Rest in Peace. DOOGE - Eithne – (Dalkey, Co. Dublin), 20th January 2026. Peacefully, in her 102nd year in the wonderful care of all staff at Carysfort Nursing Home. Predeceased by her parents Denis and Vera, brother Jim and niece Meliosa. Eithne will be very sadly missed by her nieces and nephews Colm, Diarmuid, Clíona and Dara, their spouses Trea, Vivienne, Conor, Nigel and Michael, grandnieces and grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews, many cousins and friends. Funeral Mass on Monday morning (26th January) at 10am in Church of the Assumption Dalkey followed thereafter by burial Deans Grange Cemetery.

REDMOND - Catherine (née O’Neill) – Katy, January 20, 2026, in the exceptional care of the Staff in Beaumont Hospital, in particular the Coronary Care Unit. Beloved eldest child of the late Lyn and Con. Deeply regretted by her heartbroken children, Aoife, Ciarán, Neil and Ellie, their father Paul, her brother Desmond, sister Cara, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and many friends.

Katy will be desperately missed by her family and all who loved her. Reposing at the Frank Jennings Funeral Home, Greendale Road, Kilbarrack, D05KP80 on Thursday (January 22) from 5pm sharp until 7pm. FOGARTY - Bernard (Ben), (Bray, Co. Wicklow, formerly of Roseberry, Newbridge, Co. Kildare) - peacefully on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, in the wonderful care of the nurses and doctors of St Vincent’s University Hospital, with special thanks to the ICU team.

Beloved husband of Marie, loving father of Mary, Colette and John, and adoring Grandad to James and Alex. Ben will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, daughters and son, mother-in-law Cora, daughter-in-law Patricia, sons-in-law Larry and John, brothers Eddie and Vincent, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his sisters Nora and Marianne. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to the Simon Community. Ben will be reposing at his home tomorrow evening (Friday), January 23, from 5pm to 7pm. KAVANAGH - Des (Taylor’s Hill, Galway City, formerly Clonmany, Donegal) 19 January, 2026; peacefully surrounded by those he loved. Deeply mourned by his wife Mary and sons Ronan and Conal. He will always be fondly remembered also by his daughters-in-law Liz and Laura, and by his grandchildren Anna, Tom, Eve, Ryan, Callum and Charlie, by his much-loved brother and sister, Fidelma (USA) and Terence (USA), brother-in-law John, nephews and nieces, former colleagues, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his precious and beloved son Rory and his older sister Maeve and husband Billy and sister-in-law Mary Jane. On this Thursday, 22 January, 2026, Des will lie in repose at the family home from 5.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. On this Friday, 23 January Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Des on arrival at St. Joseph's Parish Church, Presentation Road at 11 a.m. (H91 YA30). Following Mass, he will be laid to rest with his beloved son Rory in Rahoon cemetery. Mass will be live streamed.

Loving father of Alison, Jonathan and Melissa. Sadly missed by his wife, children, sons-in-law David and Andy, daughter-in-law Sandra, adored grandchildren Lily, Michael, James, Hugo, Charlie, Wiep and Babs, and his large circle of very special friends in both Dublin and West Cork.
