O'HALLORAN - Mary (née Farrelly), Clonskeagh, Dublin. 7th July 2026. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Michael and much-loved mother of Ciara, David, Eavan and Philip. Very sadly missed by her loving family, sons-in-law Andrew and Stefano, daughters-in-law Catharina and Olwyn, adored grandchildren Emily, Milo, Theo, Clarissa, Ella, Hugo, Cormac, Rory, Chiara, Livia, Camilla, Luke and Michaela, sister Philomena, brothers Desmond and Martin, extended family, neighbours and many friends. Reposing at family home in Clonskeagh on Friday 10th July from 5.30pm to 8pm. Service of remembrance on Saturday morning (11th July) at 10am in the Church of the Miraculous Medal, Bird Avenue, Clonskeagh followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery. Family Flowers only please. O'NEILL - Michael Terence (Terry) (late of Bray, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Shankill, Co. Dublin) – July 7, 2026, after a decades-long, stoically sustained siege against neuroendocrine cancer. Beloved husband of Finola, much-loved father of Anna, Hugh, Stephen and Eoin, dear father-in-law of Tom, Joyce, Kathryn-Grace and Pinar, and cherished grandfather of Alex, Una, Milo, Aengus, Vincie, Tom and Paddy. Terry will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, children, grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers Declan and Niall, nieces, nephews, extended family, colleagues and a wide circle of friends. Predeceased by his sisters Imelda and Nuala. Funeral Mass on Saturday (July 11) at 10.00am in the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, Main Street, Bray, followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery, near Shankill.

COOPER - Sydney (Killiney, Co. Dublin) 5th July 2026. Peacefully, in the care of the staff at St. Vincent’s University Hospital. Beloved husband of Dorothy, devoted father of Alan, Yvonne, Adele and Emma and father-in-law of the late Eddie. He will be sadly missed by his wife, children, daughter-in-law Ger, grandchildren Alan (Jr.), Ben, Amelie and Jack, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral Service tomorrow (Friday) at 11am in Holy Trinity Church, Killiney Hill Road followed by cremation in Mount Jerome Crematorium. SIMPSON, Kathleen (née Hayes) Crohane, Killenaule, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, peacefully at home on July 6, 2026, following a long illness bravely borne with courage and dignity. Beloved wife and best friend of Tom, and cherished second daughter of the late Eamon and Kitty Hayes. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her heartbroken husband Tom; brothers Seamus and Noel; sisters Margaret (Leahy) and Anne (Breen); cousin Kaye Wallace; sisters-in-law Elizabeth and Viva; nephews, nieces and godchildren; special friends Mary and Christine; former work colleagues and the past pupils of Presentation Secondary School, Ballingarry; loyal neighbours; her extended family, relatives and many friends. FINLAY - Noreen Mary Bernadette (was Meijer; Née O’Neill)

08.06.1947 - 24.06.2026. Only child of Lawrence and May O’Neill of 49 Kenilworth Park, Harold's Cross. Noreen attended Muckross College. Enjoyed summers working on Valencia Island before marrying Fred Meijer in 1970 and had Sara-Jane (1972) & John Derek (1977). Enjoyed Muckross Musical Society, A.I.M.S and Air Lingus Motor Club. Noreen moved to the Isle of Wight in 1985 later marrying Donald Finlay (d:2005) and having Feargal (1988). Survived by her 3 children and beloved partner Chris Wilkinson. Funeral arrangements to be confirmed.

HARTIGAN, Patrick J. (Dartry, Dublin 6 and late of Grange, Co. Limerick) 5th July 2026. Peacefully, in the care of the staff at St. James’ Hospital. Dearly beloved husband of the late Ann. Pat will be sadly missed by his sons Padraig, John, Paul and Brian, niece-in-law Jackie, his grandchildren Steven, Scarlett, Fiach, Siún and Daimhin, daughter-in-law Naoise, his sister Joan (Dublin) and brother Jim (Australia), extended family, friends and neighbours. Predeceased by his sister Mary (London). Pat was a gentleman and a scholar, and he was a master storyteller, adored by his extended family. An avid Limerick Man, with a love for Rugby, Horse Racing and all things sport. Warm and loving, he had an ability to bring a smile to everyone he met, had a razor-sharp wit and never missed a trick. "If there is another world, he lives in bliss; if there is none, he made the best of this.” Rest in peace. Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, 92 Lower Kimmage Road on Wednesday (8th July) from 4 pm to 7 pm with family in attendance. Removal on Thursday morning to the Church of the Three Patrons, Rathgar, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10 am, followed by burial in Kilternan Cemetery Park.

WILKIE, Walter, peacefully at home on 6th July, 2026. Reunited with his beloved wife, Joan. Loving father to Jennie, Andrew, Louise and Hilary. Fabulous granddad to Laura, Sam, Gavin, Reuben and Noah. He will be fondly remembered and hugely missed by them and siblings David and Liz, daughter-in-law Caroline, son-in-law Christopher, his daughter’s partners Mike and Jim, sisters-in-law Hazel and Gillian, and many nieces, nephews and friends. WHELAN, (née Ryan) Maureen (Monkstown, Co. Dublin and late of Oola, Co. Limerick), 5th July 2026 (peacefully), in the excellent care of all the staff at Belmont Nursing Home. Beloved wife of the late Michael and much-loved mother of Ann-Maeve, Fr. Gerry S.J., Brian and Roger. She will be greatly missed by her family. Her brother Jim, son-in-law Damien, daughters-in-law Anna and Julie, her treasured grandchildren Jennifer, Conor, Sarah, Eda. Louis, Sophie, Isabel, Michael, Laura, John and Maggie. GILL, Prof. Denis (Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin) July 5, 2026. Peacefully with his family by his side. Beloved husband of the late Margaret, loving father to Kieron, Daniel, Aisling, Meagan and Michael and uncle to Julie and to all his other nephews and nieces. Grandfather to Daniel, Bláithín, Cormac, Laragh, Ruairí, Ben and Fred and brother of Garrett, Caroline and Maura. A cherished in-law and dear relative to his extended family.
