GILL, Prof. Denis (Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin) July 5, 2026. Peacefully with his family by his side. Beloved husband of the late Margaret, loving father to Kieron, Daniel, Aisling, Meagan and Michael and uncle to Julie and to all his other nephews and nieces. Grandfather to Daniel, Bláithín, Cormac, Laragh, Ruairí, Ben and Fred and brother of Garrett, Caroline and Maura. A cherished in-law and dear relative to his extended family. He will be sadly missed by his wide circle of friends. Funeral Mass on Thursday, July 9, at 10 am in St. Michael’s Church, Dun Laoghaire, A96 RC98, followed by burial at Shanganagh Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Donations, in lieu, to Children’s Health Foundation, Temple Street at https://www.childrenshealth.ie/site/temple-street/.

Dear professor Gill, thanks for ur kind and caring work you’ve done to me from a newborn infant to my mid-teens. You’ve helped all through my life and even when I got my first kidney transplant at age four on the 25/09/‘95 and I got me second transplant on the 28/02/11 which I got from me ma and it was the bests thing she ever done to me and my 2nd kidney is still working on after all these years.
