Sincere condolences to all Angela's family and friends. Angela was my Home Economics teacher back in the mid 80's and was a wonderful teacher. I still use her book 40 years later. May Angela Rest in Peace.

I am sorry to hear the news (belatedly) of the passing away of Father Raymond Hickey. He was a wonderful, erudite priest who cared deeply for his flock. I knew Father Hickey when he assisted the Papal Nuncio and his staff in Abuja with celebrating Masses for the Nigerian and international community. At the time, I served as the Political Counselor and later the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria. Occasionally, he would ask me to read part of his homilies at Mass to help preserve his soft-spoken voice. Towards the end of my diplomatic assignment, he gave me a copy of his booklet that he wrote on the history of the Church in Africa. He also provided some wise, written commentary on Somalia, when I departed from my assignment in Nigeria for my next assignment as the U.S. Special Representative for Somalia. He was always a wise, kind, and gentle soul, whom I fondly remember from my four years (2009 to 2013) in Nigeria. Requiescat in Pace, Father Raymond.

Christopher lived his life to the fullest, embracing each day with intelligence, creativity, and a spirit of innovation that set him apart. A true gentleman in every sense, he was always immersed in a project, driven by curiosity and a passion for building, learning, and creating. His deep love for his family and its history was evident in all he did, and he took immense joy in the life he shared with his beloved wife, Anna, whose company he cherished dearly. Christopher was, without question, a true legend, admired, respected, and loved by all who knew him. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his legacy will live on in the many lives he touched. Possa la sua anima gentile riposare in pace.

Liam was a great friend of mine,ran St Teresas band,taught me to fish,stayed in contact with me until his death.I stayed with his family when hiking around eire in about 1960

Sad to hear of Joe’s death as I did not know he was ill. Joe and I went to Michigan together in 1969 and among our other memorable times was watching the men land on the moon. Joe was always very ambitious, hard-working, very keen to learn all with a great sense of irreverent humour. I shall miss him dearly

Deepest sympathy to Annemarie and family on the passing of Christopher. I had the privilege of working with Christopher on the restoration of Carraigin Castle during the cement strike in 1970. He was a true gentleman to work with, and I will always remember him fondly from that time. May he rest in peace.
