Am so sorry to hear this deeply upsetting news. Stephen was a kind, talented and fun-loving man whose positive energy radiated from his core. I had the pleasure of getting to know him through his work as a photographer and graphic designer. Although this was a hobby for him, he was a true professional. My heart goes out to his wife, children, parents, brother John and wider family and friends. May he rest in peace. X

I played Badminton with Ellis over a number of years. He was real gentleman. In latter years I used to meet him in passing as he walked regularly. As his hearing was gone he used his audio on his mobile phone t decipher what I was saying as he could then speak his replies and add some words of fun. I am so sorry to hear he has passed. I know he was well into his 90s. May he now Rest in Peace. He sure had a full life! Mark O’Brien

We have known Ellis for many, many years. So sad he is no longer with us. His friend Joy (now deceased) was a special person whom we knew very well too. May Ellis now Rest im Peace.

RIP John, always a gentleman and ready to help. Plenty of fond memories of John and The Heartbeats. You will be missed.

So sad on hearing that Sr Mary Threadgold has passed away. I first knew Sr Mary when she was an inspirational, pioneering speech and language therapist working in Temple Street Children's Hospital, Dublin in the late 1960s and 1970's. At that time , she was also an influential tutor, lecturer, clinical supervisor and role model for Ireland's first cohort of speech and language therapy students. Later, through her pioneering work in the area of optimised communication, I knew her as she enabled and advocated for those who appreciated her insightful understanding of individualised communication styles. For many people with dementia and many people with intellectual disability, Sr Mary continued to inspire professionals, carers , peers and families alike, when communicating, to reflect a sense of fun, wonderful flexibility and a spirit of generosity. She never ceased to use her unique talents, love of music and her good works to benefit others. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

So sorry to hear the death of your father Liz you were a fantastic daughter to both your mother and father you were with them till the very end and Adrian was such a lovely son in law
