O'TIERNEY, Dr. Donal

Donal was a formative member of our hillwalking group, The Green Monks, in the 1950s. We remember him especially for the warmth and hospitality he and his wife, Wyn, so generously extended to us on our trips to the Mourne Mountains from their home in Warrenpoint. We remember Donal with deep affection and gratitude, and our thoughts are with Wyn and all his family at this sad time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

PURSER, Dr. Michael WFC

I knew Michael in the 60's when he and I worked for Elliott Automation. He was a funny, caring, delightful man who laughed at the pomposity that abounded.

Dear Roisin, Eamon and Turloch Your father was the most wonderful human being. We were privileged to have him as our family doctor and friend. What an absence now but what a legacy of sheer goodness. We are so sorry to miss his funeral and offer our prayers and condolences to all his beloved family

McDERMOTT Lt. Col. Michael

- 2011

I met Commandant McDermott in 2000 in Kosovo when I was posted with the British army. Michael and his men accepted me in their barracks as a friend on many occasions and I have visited several of them in Ireland since my deployment. Michael was a true gentleman and top soldier. I have fond memories of that difficult tour. I have a great picture of him if any family would like to see it?

WHELAN, Brian

Gracias.
