I was so sorry to read of Gary's death. A real gentleman! I opened my first bank account in Blanchardstown about 51 years ago when Harry Dalton was manager and Gary joined as Assistant Manager a few years later. I got my first mortgage from the Bank receiving a letter of offer and congratulations at my luck in getting a mortgage at 19.25% interest rate. As Gary and Harry moved on from Blanchardstown, I am afraid the previously very pleasant experience of dealing with the bank receded. I very much admired Gary's work in the Anti-Apartheid movement - in some ways, a surprisingly public role for a man who in other ways was so quiet. It was such a pleasure to deal with such a gentleman.
