So sorry to hear of Caleb's passing - a fine teacher and a fine man. Sincere sympathy to Gill and the family.

Cé go bhfuil cliú air mar iriseoir agus mar chraoltóir, agus é sin tuillte go mór aige is mar cheoltóir a chuir mé aithne cheart air ar dtús. What a terrible blow to hear of Seán Ó hÉalaí's/John Healy's -- or just Healy's (as we always called him) death. He was in the same class as myself at St. Columb's and I knew him even before that because his grandfather Mr McManus lived next door to us. But when I started playing the guitar at 17, friends recommended that I visit him and hear his playing. Which I did often. He not only had an amazing repertoire of traditional songs in English and Irish beautifully arranged for guitar, but he had invented an intricate and amazing way of playing the guitar which inspired me and to a great extent created the path my life followed as a musician and I like to think through me affected the groups I have been lucky enough to play with and the students I have taught here in America -- who hear his name often from me. He was also a wonderful pianist -- and not to mention all the humour and stories! My thoughts to his family and friends!

Our deepest sympathies to Yona and family on the sad passing of Oliver. We will miss him and remember the fun we had. Peter and Eileen Butler.

I went on an excellent tour all over Ireland in 1992. The guide for Brendan Vacations was Pauline Parkinson. She was an outstanding tour guide. Does anyone know whether this one could be the same Pauline Parkinson? May she rest in peace.

John was a lovely gentleman and we shared many a laugh working together in Crew Control. I pray to John when I'm troubled we'll never see his like again. RIP

There are saddened hearts in Sumter SC USA who mourn Paul's passing. We knew him as a well-liked brother-inlaw and uncle in-law. A sweet, musically talented man with a great sense of humor.
