DEVOY, (née Dunne) (late of Ballygall) - 7th August 2023, (suddenly) at home. Helen, beloved wife of the late Gerard and loving Mam of Alva and Laura. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her daughters, Laura's partner Brian and Alva's former partner Gavin, brothers Liam and Brendan, sister Eithne, brother-in-law Dan, sisters-in-law Phil, Alison and Anne, Brendan’s partner Frances, the extended Dunne family especially the Kelly Boys and their wives, and a large circle of friends and neighbours, especially Marge, Laurie and Noel. May Helen Rest in Peace. Funeral on Saturday morning (12th August) at the Church of Our Mother of Divine Grace, Ballygall Road East, arriving for 10am Requiem Mass. Funeral thereafter to Glasnevin Crematorium. Family flowers only please.

O'CONNOR, Owen (Donnybrook, Dublin 4) - 5th August 2023 (peacefully) in the wonderful care of the staff of St. Vincent’s University Hospital. Beloved husband of Brenda (McGrath) and devoted dad to Owen and Siobhan. He will be very sadly missed by his family, brother Brian, sisters Dolores, Marjorie and Kathleen, his treasured grandchildren Conor, Finn, Rory and Tadhg, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Rest in Peace. Removal tomorrow (Friday) morning to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Donnybrook arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.00 am, followed by cremation in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross. McCUSKER - Hugo - Ann, Paul, Mary, Aine, Joan, Ita, Hugh and Claire, the family of Hugo R.I.P. wish to express their sincere thanks to all those who sympathised and offered condolences on Hugo's recent death. A special word of thanks to the priests who visited him in the hospice and at home for their spiritual support and kindness to Hugo during his last weeks and months and to Fr. Michael Doherty, Fr. John Forbes and Fr. Peter O'Kane for the Requiem Mass. The family would like to thank the staff of Altnagelvin and City Hospitals, the doctors, nurses and staff of Mourneside Medical Practice, the staff of Beechmount Pharmacy, the doctors and nurses and staff of the Foyle Hospice, the Paramedics and all the carers and support staff who attended Hugo at home. Thanks to Michael the sacristan and to Ann and Gerard for the beautiful music and singing. The family wish to thank all the kind relatives, friends, neighbours, former bank colleagues and the wider community for their kindness and support. Thanks to Jude and staff, Quigley Funeral Directors, for their empathy and the professional way in which they conducted all the funeral arrangements. Thanks also to Con Tinney for all his work on the grave. Although impossible to individually thank all those whose kindness and thoughtfulness has brought such comfort at this time, the family trust this will be accepted by all with their heartfelt thanks.

CORCORAN, Ann (née Murphy) Dublin, (formerly of Wexford and Meath) - 6th August 2023. Predeceased by her husband John. Beloved mother of Jane, Paddy, Andrew and Roseanne. She will be sadly missed by her family, her sister Margaret, daughter-in-law Laura, sons-in-law Denis and Peter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and her wide circle of friends. DOWNES, Teresa DC*HS (née McDonnell) (Barna Road, Galway and formerly Killala, Co. Mayo) - August 5, 2023 peacefully at home. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Donal and much loved mother of Donal Jnr., Orla Mc Keating (Dublin), Karina McDonnell (Naas), Brian (Limerick) and Adrian. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Bridget and siblings Paddy, Maureen, Jack, Pauline, Tommy, Phyllis and Nancy. Mourned and sadly missed by her loving sons and daughters, daughters-in-law Saundra, Olive and Clare, sons-in-law Kevin and Tadhg, adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, the extended Downes and McDonnell family, neighbours and friends. Reposing at St. Anthony's Room within the Church of St. John the Apostle, Knocknacarra, Galway tomorrow (Thursday) from 5.00pm. Removal into the Church at 7.00pm.
