SCALES, Peter (Ronnie) late of Enniskillen and Blackrock, Co. Dublin. Peacefully, in his 94th year, in the excellent care of the wonderful staff at the Fern Dean Nursing Home, Deansgrange, on Saturday, September 2, 2023. Reunited with his beloved wife Margaret (Rippingale). Much loved Dad and loving father of Geoff, Andrew and Wendy, very proud Grandad of Katrina and Jessica and brother of the late Ian. Peter will also be much missed by his daughter-in-law Linda, Wendy’s partner Fergal, his wider family circle, neighbours and friends. A Funeral Service to celebrate Peter’s life, will be held at 12.45pm tomorrow (Wednesday) in St. Brigid’s Parish Church, St. Brigid's Church Road, Stillorgan, Co. KELLY, (née Wisley) Alacoque (Foxrock, Dublin 18 and formerly of Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim) September 2, 2023. Peacefully, in her 97th year, surrounded by her family, in the loving care of Ashbury Nursing Home, Deansgrange. Beloved wife of the late Vincent and sister of the late Bernadette and Seamus. Sadly missed by her son Vincent, daughter-in-law Orlagh, her darling grandsons Jack and Hugo, brother Brendan, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Reposing this (Tuesday) evening, from 5pm-7pm in Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown, A94 XK28. Predeceased by her parents Desmond and Mercy Egan, her brother Robert and sister Twinkle. Survived by her sister and friend Jane and her husband Alf Aldenkortt, her nephews Christian and Marc, their wives Isobelle and Florence, their children Twins Cayleen and Lily, Sacha and Nils Aldenkortt, relatives and friends. GHENT, Patrick, (Retired Army Colonel; Deputy Judge Advocate General of the Defence Forces for 15 years) Late of Terenure, Dublin and formerly Cork) (September 1, 2023); peacefully at Orwell Private Nursing Home. SMYTH S.J., Fr. James (St Francis Xaviers, Gardiner Street and formerly of Lauragh, Tuosist, Co. Kerry and Hong Kong) Fr. James passed away peacefully in the tender loving care of the nurses and staff of Cherryfield Lodge, Miltown Park on August 31, 2023. He is predeceased by his brother Richard, sister Sr Kathleen, his parents Tom and Frances. Fr. James was much loved and will be greatly missed by his sister-in-law Joyce Smyth, nieces Frances, Suzanne and Clíona, nephews Rísteard and Peter, niece-in-law Noreen. Breda, Eddie and Willie, grandnieces Emma, Alannah, Amy, Laura, Caoimhe, Jessica, Laoise and Teegan, grandnephews Finbar, Kevin, Richard, Harry, Tomás, Aidan and Odhran, extended family, many friends and his Jesuit Confreres. MORAN - Andrew (Woodford, Co. Galway / Bullock Park, Carlow): (August 30, 2023), peacefully in the care of St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny, after a short illness borne with courage.
