O'CONNELL - Liam, aged 44, on October 21, 2023, peacefully at his home in Lewes, East Sussex in the loving care of his partner Heidi, professionally supported by the staff of St Peter and St James Hospice. Profoundly missed by Heidi, parents Risteárd and Karin, brother Kevin, sister-in-law Mónica and nephews Alejandro Daniel and Richard Santiago.

O'GRADY - (née Donnelly) Marie, Raheny, Dublin 5 – on the occasion of Marie’s first anniversary (November 3) her husband, Tony, sons Paul and Alan, and daughter Liza, together with their families, wish to thank everyone who comforted them on Marie’s passing last year. We are very grateful to our extended family of Marie’s cousins and our cousins and all their families, all our friends and former and current colleagues and our wonderful neighbours old and new, who marked her passing. We are also grateful for the many letters and messages of condolence that we received. Special thanks to our musicians and to Monsignor Alex Stenson. Finally we want to express our enormous gratitude to the wonderful staff – all of them – who cared for Marie in the Raheny Community Nursing Home from May 2013 until her death last year. Their compassion, good humour and professionalism gave Marie the best quality of life that her health would afford over those nine years.

McNAUGHTON - Paul’s wife Jean, their sons Conor, Cormac and Cian would like to thank Paul’s many friends and colleagues who called to the house and who attended the funeral. We were touched by the affection and esteem in which he was held. To those of you who sent cards, mass cards and wrote beautiful letters, we thank you. Thanks to our lovely neighbours for their support. A very special thank you to Greystones Rugby Club and the many friends within. Paul was very proud of the club, he generously gave a lot of time to it but got so much more back in return. Paul was a fun grandad to Alasdair and John and his heart would have melted on the recent arrival of Sienna Rose.

ROONEY - Norman, Stepaside, Dublin 18. A Service of Thanksgiving to celebrate Norman’s life will take place on Saturday, November 11 at 12 midday in Kilternan Parish Church to remember the life of a loving Dad, Grandad and father-in-law who died on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

CUNNINGHAM - Aidan (Milltown, Sligo, Donegal) - Died November 2, 2022. Aidan died peacefully in the exemplary care of the wonderful team at Our Lady’s Hospice in Harold’s Cross, surrounded by his family. On the first anniversary of his death we, his wife Anna, children David, Annajane and Susan, sons-in-law Michael and Nicholas, his seven beloved grandchildren, siblings Edna and Barry and extended family, would like to express our deep gratitude to all those who supported Aidan throughout his illness. Thank you for the Mass cards, letters, text messages, e-mails and phone calls. We were greatly comforted by the wonderful tributes and memories posted on RIP.ie. We acknowledge and thank all those who attended his Funeral Mass or joined on-line. A very special thanks is due to Fr. Fergal MacDonagh (Parish Priest of Dolphin’s Barn) for delivering a beautiful and meaningful Mass and graveside service. Thanks also to Fanagans for their professional care and guidance and to Simon Morgan who enriched the Mass with his wonderful singing. We offer this acknowledgement as an expression of our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one whose kindness gave us great solace in our bereavement.
