O'REILLY, (Glasheen, Cork and U.C.C) - on November 16, 2023, peacefully following a long illness at Marymount Hospice; TERENCE. Deeply mourned by his sons Michael and Thomas, daughters-in-law Aliza and Stephanie, grandchildren Liam and Elise, siblings Mary, Angela and Christopher, a wide circle of family, friends and academic colleagues. Reposing at O’Connor Bros. Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge from 2pm-3pm tomorrow (Sunday). Requiem Mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, The Lough at 2pm on Monday. Private burial afterwards. Donations if desired to Marymount Hospice. House Private. A memorial will be arranged at a later date.

O'BRIEN, (née Quinn) Esther (Stannaway Road and Kilfenora Road, Kimmage, Dublin 12) - 15th November 2023. Peacefully at her residence and in her 96th year. Beloved mother of Colm and June and sadly mourned by those who knew and loved her. Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Lower Kimmage Road on Sunday November 19th, from 4pm with family in attendance, followed by removal to the Church of St Paul of the Cross, Mount Argus for arrival at 5:30pm. Funeral Mass at 11:30 Monday, 20th November, followed by burial in Mount Jerome Cemetery.

HANRAHAN - Donal (Donie) (Limerick), (Twelfth Anniversary) - Always in our thoughts - Eileen, Sandra, Evelyn, Donal and John.

CRONIN - Geraldine - Serpentine Terrace, Ballsbridge, Dublin and Waterfall Road, Cork. Died November 19 2022. As we lovingly commemorate the First Anniversary of Geraldine's passing, her brothers and their families express heartfelt gratitude to everyone who shared their sympathy during our time of sorrow. Thanks to our extended families, friends and neighbours for their support at a very difficult time. A special appreciation goes out to Ger’s friends and neighbours from both Dublin and Cork, especially those who, along with The Daffodil Centre and its volunteers drove her to hospital at short notice when her illness was causing concern. Some old school friends from the UK also came to visit her in her final few weeks. All her friends showed a kindness and support that was a great source of comfort to us. Thanks also to Professor Power and his Team in MUH for their kindness and expertise during Ger’s illness. Thanks to all who sent cards and condolences, and attended the reception prayers and Funeral. We would like to also say a sincere thanks to Kate and Mary Pat for carrying out Ger’s special wishes for the ceremony itself. Thanks to Sr. Clare, Canon Forde and Canon Walsh who conducted the Funeral Service with kindness and sensitivity. Lastly we express our gratitude to the nurses and all the staff at Marymount for their exceptional care. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. Geraldine’s First Anniversary Mass will be offered tomorrow, November 19 at 11.30am in the Church of the Real Presence, Curraheen Road, Bishopstown. 

CARROLL - William L (Willie), Dublin and Clones, Co Monaghan. On this, the First Anniversary of Dad’s death, we his children Bill, Rosa and daughter-in-law Ben would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to those who sympathised with us at the time of Willie’s death. Sincere thanks to those who attended the funeral and sent messages, cards, letters and online condolences to us. It was a source of comfort to know how well Dad was remembered by so many. A special thank you to Anne Marie Woods and the wonderful team at Newtownpark House Nursing Home, Blackrock who looked after Dad with such kindness during his time there.
