STUDDERT - Finbarr (Barry) Studdert (Comdt Retd.), and former Dublin Civil Defence Officer, late of Cork and Newbridge. In loving memory of Barry on his first Anniversary, we, his wife, Frances, his children Niamh, Brian, Orla, Una, Emer, Aisling, Barry and their partners, his ten beloved grandchildren and three great grandchildren, his brother Dick and sister Joan wish to thank everyone who attended Barry's wake, funeral Mass and cremation. We are very grateful to those who travelled from near and far to celebrate Barry's life. Those who helped us in any way, a massive thank you. To everyone who sent us Mass cards, letters of condolence, messages of sympathy on RIP.ie and on the Civil Defence website, many thanks for your kindness. A special thanks to the staff of Naas General Hospital and Ambulance Emergency Services for their wonderful care of Barry in his final days. To Dr. Donal Deeny and nurse Veronica Deeny for their dedicated care and kindness to Barry for many years. Much appreciation to you both. To Monsignor John McDonnell, St. Brigid's Church, The Curragh and to Fr. Anthony Kavanagh O.P., St. Eustace's Church, Newbridge many thanks for the celebration of Barry's requiem Mass. To the Defence Forces, many thanks for dressing the coffin. To Barry's colleagues in the Civil Defence, a special thank you for your guard of honour outside the church; it was much appreciated by the family. To Lieutenant General Rossa Mulcahy and Mr. Tom Costello, thank you for your kind words at Barry's cremation. To Anderson & Leahy Funeral Directors, many thanks Daniel and team for your guidance and terrific help. A Mass will be celebrated for all your intentions.

FALVEY - Frank (Shangort, Knocknacarra, Galway) – July 4, 2022, peacefully, after a long illness, at Galway Hospice, surrounded by family. Beloved husband and best friend to his wife Dympna (Creighton). He will be deeply missed by Dympna and their loving children Deirdre, Fiona, Garry and Sara, as he leaves to join Eamon who predeceased him. Frank will be fondly and lovingly remembered by his daughter-in-law Siobhan, sons-in-law Stephen, Justin and Ger, his grandchildren Daniel, Joanna, Ted, Rachel, Frank, Síomha and Devin, as well as the wider Falvey and Creighton families, his carers, friends, former colleagues and neighbours. Funeral Mass in the Church of Mary Immaculate Queen, Barna, Co Galway (H91 A2T7) today (Thursday) at 12.00pm. WRIGHT, (née Arnold) Sylvia (Late of Rathfarnham) - 8th July 2024, in the wonderful care of the CCU Mater Hospital. Loving wife of the late Cyril and sister of the late Arthur. Much loved mother of Derek, Hazel and Gordon, mother-in-law of Diane and Grainne, grandmother to Rebecca, Simon, Wesley, Sam, Elliot, Max and Nick, loving great-grandmother to Georgia, Harriet and Martha. Sadly missed by the extended family and friends. Reposing at her family home from 6pm - 8pm on (Wednesday) (10th July). Funeral Service on Thursday (11th July) at 1 pm in Rathfarnham Parish Church, (C of I), Rathfarnham Village and afterwards to Mount Jerome Crematorium. Family flowers only. GALLEN, (née Bouchier-Hayes) (“Rockley", Railway Street, Balbriggan, Dublin) - 8th July 2024 (peacefully) at home, Ann; predeceased by her darling husband Gerald and daughter Sarah. Dearly beloved mother of Ruth, Rachel and Gerald. Ann was predeceased by her brothers Tommy, Dermot, David, Philip and Michael and is sadly missed by her siblings Gillian, Irene, Mona, Mary, John and Tim. Ann is missed by daughter-in-law Carol, son-in-law Mark and by her grandchildren Oliver, Tommy, Sadie and Zoe, whom she adored. Ann is missed by so many relatives and lifelong friends, including the members of Balbriggan Golf Club, a place she put so much into and got so much from. Reposing at McNally’s Funeral Home, Balbriggan on (Wednesday) 10th July from 5pm – 7pm. Removal on (Thursday) 11th July, to S.S. Peter & Paul’s Church, Balbriggan, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in S.S. Peter & Paul’s Cemetery. Funeral Mass can be viewed live on Balbriggan Parish Webcam. Family flowers only, donations in lieu to St. Francis Hospice, Raheny. House private.
