CARSON - (née Shaw), Melissa Gladys (Florida, formerly Raleigh NC and Mountmellick Co. Laois) December 20th 2025, peacefully. Dearly loved wife of the late Rev. Eric Carson. Will be sadly missed by her children Lynda and Andrew, siblings Judith, Jennifer, Robert and Vivienne and the family circle. A memorial service will be held in Haynes Barton United Methodist Church, Raleigh NC on 24th January 2026.

MOORE - Patrick A (Twenty-fifth Anniversary, January 7, 2001). “Thanks for the memories” Joan, Catherine, Paula, Joanne, Stephen, David, Jennifer, and loving grandchildren Aisling, Siofra, Emmet, Keelin, Tara and Laoise Burns, Patrick, Liam and Rory McMackin, Patrick and Daniel Moore. LEFROY - Jeffry George, Crowenstown Little, Delvin, Co. Westmeath, and formerly of Carrigglas Manor, Longford. Died on 27th December 2025, in his 90th year, after a very long illness borne with great stoicism. Beloved husband of Tessa, dear brother of Laetitia and loving father of Langlois and Edward and grandfather of Kit. Much loved father-in-law of Valérie and Niki. Funeral Service to take place on Sunday, 11th January, at 2pm at St. James’ Church of Ireland, Athboy, Co. Meath C15 XD59, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard. House private, please. GLYNN - John (Kilternan and Williamstown). December 7, 2025. We, the family of the late John, wish to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported us during this very difficult time. We extend our deepest thanks to an Taoiseach Micheál Martin who was represented by his Aide-de-Camp Commandant Barry Piper. We thank Monsignor Ciarán O’Carroll for his introduction to the service at The Church of the Sacred Heart, Donnybrook, and to Fr Gerard Tyrrell who so kindly came to our Home during a power cut and, by fire and candlelight, helped us to prepare the order of service. We are profoundly grateful to Eoin Hynes, whose beautiful singing throughout the service brought us a real sense of peace and comfort. Our sincere thanks to Andy for his quiet respect and support at Kilternan Cemetery. We wish to thank our wonderful neighbours for opening their driveways to accommodate all who travelled to attend John’s reposing at our home. We acknowledge with gratitude all those who helped in any way, through prayers, visits, phone calls, messages of sympathy, mass cards and practical support. Thank you also to Fanagans Funeral Directors, Dundrum, and Radisson Blu St. Helen’s, Booterstown. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

John’s Month’s Mind Mass will take place in Our Lady of the Wayside Church, Kilternan at 12 Noon Sunday, January 11.

DUFFY - (née Fallon), Pauline (Stillorgan, Co. Dublin) 24 December 2025. Peacefully, in the loving care of Earlsbrook Nursing Home, Bray. Beloved wife of the late Peter James and much-loved mother of Peter, Mary, Paula, Philip, and the late John (December 2024). Very sadly missed by her loving family, sons in law Kevin and Ted, daughter in-law Lea, grandchildren Paul, Graham, Christina, Gavin, Lyndsay, Erica, Peter, Tom, Ted junior, Philip, and Conor, thirteen loving great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace. Removal on Monday morning (the 5th of January) to the Church of St. Laurence O’Toole, Kilmacud arriving for funeral Mass at 10am followed by cremation in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross at 12.15pm. COOLEY - Allan passed away peacefully on 26th December 2025 at his home in Dundrum, Co. Down. A loving husband to Sheila and devoted father with Anne to Andrew, Ashleigh, Andrea, and Alison and grandfather to his nine precious grandchildren. He will be missed by many. Allan will be waked at his home from 5pm to 8pm on Monday 5th January for those wishing to pay their respects. On the morning of Tuesday 6th January a private Cremation Service will take place at Roselawn Crematorium Belfast. At 2pm all are welcome to a Service at St John’s Church, Newcastle, Co.
