COYNE - Paddy (Pat) (Blackrock, Co. Dublin, formerly Galway and Ballina, Co. Mayo) — January 2nd, 2026, peacefully at Blackrock Clinic ICU, after a short illness. Deeply missed by his wife Phil, daughters Suzanne and Jennifer, grandchildren Jamie, Harry, Charlotte and Dylan, sons-in-law Steve and Alan, siblings Maura, Sr. Breda, Fr. Joe, Angela, Billy, Anne, Peter and Antoinette, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Maureen and Seán, brother Seán and sister Kathleen. Reposing at Massey Bros. Blackrock, Wednesday 7th January, 4–7pm. Removal Thursday 8th January to the Church of the Guardian Angels, arriving 11.10am, Requiem Mass 11.30am, followed by cremation at Mount Jerome. CAHILL - David Alexander Cameron (Ardclough, Straffan, Co. Kildare and formerly of Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny). Passed away peacefully on January 1st 2026, surrounded by his loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff at Tallaght Hospital. He will be sadly missed by his wife Susie, daughter Gay (Wilmot-Smith) and son Robert, son-in-law Andrew, grandchildren Patrick, Nicholas and Tom, extended family Inez, Caryl, Rachel, Sarah, Candy, Amaya and Alex, and friends. Removal on Monday afternoon (January 5th) to St. Anne’s Church, Ardclough arriving for a Funeral Mass at 12pm followed by a private cremation.

Cork and formerly of Summerhill South, Cork) On January 2nd 2026, peacefully at the Cork University Hospital after a short illness, John Anthony (Sean) (late of Everyman Theatre and Coláiste Crist Rí), beloved partner of Maura, much loved father of Eoin, Aoibhe, Donall and Niall, grandfather of Conor, Catherine, Elizabeth, Camille, Doireann, Lida, Alexander and Kieran, dear brother of Br. Cillian (Kevin) and Aidan. Mourned by his loving family, daughter-in-law Margaret, Natasha and Ana, son-in-law Fergus (O’Callaghan), relatives and friends. May he rest in peace. VESELSKY - Josef (Booterstown, Co. Dublin) January 3, 2026. Peacefully, in his 108th year in the loving and exceptional care of the staff at St. John’s House Nursing Home. Beloved husband of the late Katarina and loving father of Peter and Kate. He will be sadly missed by his son and daughter, son-in-law Jack, daughter-in-law Denise, his cherished grandsons Stephen and Nicholas and their wives Estela and Olga, great-grandchildren Lucas, Jacob, Sebby and Tommy, wonderful neighbours Declan and Dara and a very wide circle of friends and sporting colleagues from UCD football and Irish Table Tennis. Funeral Service to celebrate Josef’s life will be held on Wednesday (January 7) at 10am in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross, D6WHY98. TOAL - Charlie (Blackrock, Co. Dublin and formerly of Smithboro, Co. Monaghan) January 2, 2026. Peacefully, in Naas General Hospital and previously in the wonderful care of the Larchfield Park Nursing Home. Beloved husband of the late Tricia and loving father of Andrew and Elaine, cherished grand-dad of Caoimhe, Rhys and Ciara, father-in-law to Vera and Tony. Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews, godchildren, extended family, neighbours and friends. Charlie will be reposing tomorrow (Tuesday) January 6 from 6pm to 8pm in Fanagans Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown, A94 XK28.
