McGLYNN - (née Hanlon), Mary (Sandyford, Dublin) 3rd September 2026. Peacefully, in the care of the wonderful team at The Marlay Nursing Home with her two daughters, Rhona and Sinéad, by her side. Beloved wife of the late Daragh. Mary will be very sadly missed by her loving family, son-in-law Colin, grandsons Danny and Robin, her sisters, brother, extended family, friends and neighbours. Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Dundrum on Sunday afternoon (6th September) from 3pm to 5pm. Removal on Monday morning (7th September) to St. Mary’s Church, Sandyford arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in Glencullen Cemetery. Donations, if desired, to the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland.

O'BRIEN - Margaret (née McCabe) (Rathfarnham, Dublin) September 3, 2026. Peacefully, in the care of Gascoigne House Nursing Home, Rathmines, in her 88th year. Loving wife to her late husband Pat, loving mother to Karen, Graham, Nicola (Nicky), and Tracy, wonderful grandmother to Colm, Hugh, George, Enid, Keelin, Dillon, Daniel, and Matthew and great-grandmother to Laura and Emma. Margaret will be sadly missed by daughter-in-law Frances, sons-in-law John, Pearse, and Noel, granddaughter-in-law Fiona, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours. Pre-deceased by her sisters Maureen, Patty and Lily and brothers Harry and Seamus. Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, 5/6 Lower Main Street, Dundrum D14 F3X2, on Wednesday evening (September 9) from 6pm to 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning (September 10) to the church of Sts Columbanus and Gall, Milltown arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in Mount Jerome Cemetery. Donations in Margaret’s memory, if desired, to The Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland.

HEENAN - Dr Anthony E. Ardeevin Lodge, Ballincar, Sligo September 2nd, 2026. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary and his son Patrick. Steadfast father to Órla, Bróna, Antoinette, Patrick, Davnat and Rachel and dear Papa to Savannah, Ultan, Ana Li, Eimhin, Éowyn , Koah, Ayana, Kasper and Tait. Sadly missed by his loving family; sons-in-law Martin, Graham, Liam, and Christopher, life long friends Pat, Brian and Ronnie, his relatives, colleagues and all who knew him.

Rest in Peace. Reposing at his home today Saturday from 4pm to 7pm for family and friends. Private removal from his home tomorrow Sunday for family only to arrive at St. Joseph's Church, Ballytivnan, Sligo, for Mass of Christian burial at 2pm Burial to follow with Mary and Patrick in Cregg Cemetery, Rosses Point, Sligo. KILROY - Raymond J. (Toronto, Canada and late of Athlone, Co. Westmeath) It is with deep sadness that we announce Raymond's peaceful passing in Toronto, his home for over 60 years, on August 31, 2026. Dearest husband of Minerva for 56 years and much-loved father of Carmen (Michael Kuske) and Olivia (Michael Homburger). Cherished "Abuelo" to his grandchildren Maeve, Oscar, Evan and Ella. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Peter, Mary (Miller), John and Hilda (Hall), and by his extended family and friends in Canada, Ireland and the Dominican Republic. A true gentleman and devoted family man, his warmth and kindness will be remembered by all who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

ELDER - Moira (Apr 1939–Sept 6, 1976) Born in Glasgow, Moira lived in Dublin from 1970, where she worked at Jervis Street Hospital and the Royal Hibernian Hotel. Fifty years after her passing, we remember our birth mother with love and kindness. Although we never had the opportunity to know her, we wish to honour her life and the place she holds in our hearts.
