O'BRIEN - Margaret (née McCabe) (Rathfarnham, Dublin) September 3, 2026. Peacefully, in the care of Gascoigne House Nursing Home, Rathmines, in her 88th year. Loving wife to her late husband Pat, loving mother to Karen, Graham, Nicola (Nicky), and Tracy, wonderful grandmother to Colm, Hugh, George, Enid, Keelin, Dillon, Daniel, and Matthew and great-grandmother to Laura and Emma. Margaret will be sadly missed by daughter-in-law Frances, sons-in-law John, Pearse, and Noel, granddaughter-in-law Fiona, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours. Pre-deceased by her sisters Maureen, Patty and Lily and brothers Harry and Seamus. Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, 5/6 Lower Main Street, Dundrum D14 F3X2, on Wednesday evening (September 9) from 6pm to 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning (September 10) to the church of Sts Columbanus and Gall, Milltown arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in Mount Jerome Cemetery. Donations in Margaret’s memory, if desired, to The Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland.
