<p>MORE O'FERRALL, Rory (Dalkey, Co. Dublin and late of U.C.D.) - June 15 2012, (peacefully), in the outstanding care of the staff of the Cara Ward, St. Vincent's Private Hospital; sadly missed by his wife Margaret, children Daniel, Ruth and Clare his sons-in-law, grandchildren and extended family and friends. Removal (tomorrow) Tuesday from Quinns of Glasthule to Church of the Assumption, Dalkey arriving at 6 pm. Funeral on Wednesday, after 11.30 am Mass, followed by cremation in Mount Jerome Crematorium. No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to Cancer Research.Requiescat in pace</p>

<p>A wonderful colleague.</p> <p>I had the pleasure of knowing Rory through RSC physical organic chemistry events, and never ceased to admire him. The mark he leaves on science clearly extends well beyond the sphere of those fortunate enough to have met him, but he was also a truly beautiful human being, and the world is a lot less bright in his absence.</p>
