Sean Keane was a Real Humanitarian

Dr Sean Keane was first introduced to me as "John Brown," the host of Radio Erin on WYMS FM Radio in Milwaukee. Later, I found him to be a complex, intriguing and sometimes infuriating man. However, he was a grand humanitarian, doing much in the background and never wanting accolades for what he felt was just needed to be done.

Even though he was considered one of the best surgeons in Milwaukee, he would often smoke a half a pack of cigarettes during the hour radio show, often trying to get me to restart so he wouldn't have to smoke alone.

Sean was unique in a land that produces unique, a character in a land of characters.

Tá mé leithscéal a bhí sé ar saoire linn sin go luath.

Brian Witt

Milwaukee
