Sean was a great friend and an inspiration.

How sorry we are for Sean's passing. He will be truly missed by many many people all around the world. I am from Tipperary but have been living in Milwaukee for six years. I have the pleasure of calling Sean a great friend. I was fortunate to join him on his last medical mission to Nicaragua in August. Sean was an inspiring man.

My Deepest Condolences

I worked closely with Dr Keane for almost 10 years at St Francis Hospital. I must say he taught me much about medicine, health care, standards, values and empathy. He was a task master that not everyone could workwith but because of his high standards and values he was able to provide some of the best medical care I have ever seen given to patients in my 34 years as a nurse. He was expert in his surgical technique. We who worked for him used to call our Ortho Clinic "Lourdes" as patients who had been unable to walk without the assist of crutches or walkers could walk after he performed surgery on them. They could leave their walking aids at our door, like they did at "Lourdes".

You should be truly proud of him and his medical work. But, you should also be proud of him as an extraordinary human being because he NEVER turned away a patient because they couldn't pay. One does not see this all that often in health care.

He will truly be missed by his patients, his community and by those whose lives and standards he helped to shape during his career.

Mary Rios
