Sincere condolences

I never met Aine personally and feel saddened now I never will but I know Aine and Michael will continue to inspire many in the field of mental health. Their fantastic legacy will never die and will continue to touch and heal the lives of many others. Hopefully this will be of some solace to her family and friends at this sad time. May she rest in peace in the company of her dear Michael.

What moves through us in silence

Words seem inadequate to express the sadness and grief you feel. I'm sending you my heartfelt sympathy. What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why Áina left this earth so soon, or why she left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that she died, but that she lived. And that her life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

Gráinne - Freya Hammond

From Mary E. Doyle

Aine, you were always a shining star. I remember eating the lovely apple pie and cream in your sitting room when we were students. You will be so missed. Though we have little contact over the past years, I have been aware of your good work. What a tragic sad loss, much too soon. Go well

RIP to a true Love Revolutionary

Áine was an inspiration. I feel privileged to have met her and seen her speak in Cork last year. Her work, proving that Love works, and around heart consciousness deeply moved me. And her assertion that we can't be open and closed at the same (with the implication that we have to shut down in relation to medical model treatments) time made an impression on me. It was so brilliant how she proved this scientifically. My Mum draws great strength from Áine's book 'When Panic Attacks'. RIP to a real love revolutionary full of heart and soul
