A life sadly shortened but a spirit unquenched!

Thank you Michael for giving me thehope and strength to carry on fighting for my father's rights ina system that failed him. I am shocked and saddened by your death. However the fire you have started cannot bequenched in the fight for mental health as a human right. I plan to help continue this fight and advocate for the rights of people suffering from emotional torment through research. Thank You

A good spirit

I was shocked and saddened to read of Michael's death. He was a rare, gifted unique human being; a true spirit of God in the correct sense. There is no doubt his soul will live on and he will continue his work through others. My heartfelt sympathy to his family. M Mulvey

Michael, whose integrity and courage inspired

You were never one to compromise on deeply held values. Your commitment to improving the welfare of all and reducing unnecessary suffering has been a model and inspiration for me and many. I regret that I cannot be present to attend services.
Death of a Mentor

I I have just learned of the death of a great man and my personal mentor. I am in deep shock as I thought you were invincible. Thank you Michael for your words of wisdom that gave clarity when there was none. you gave meaning to my grief and loss by your great compassion and acceptance of the uncertainty of life.. My own work has been blessed by knowing you. I shall miss you.

My deepest sympathy to Aine and to all your family relatives and friends

May the Lord keep you in the palm of his hand.
