In memory of a remarkable man

Not a day goes by that you are not missed. I cherished our long discussions, finding ways to resolve issues with integrating farmers into value chains and dealing with food security not to mention a few random chats in between. we have lost a dear colleague and wonderful friend, and by far one of the most intelligent minds I have ever come across. Your memory will live on in the Mountainous Kingdom of Swaziland. My deepest condolences to Frankie, Sumner and all of Dermot's friends, family and colleagues. rest in peace my friend.

Debbie Cutting and TechnoServe Swaziland

He will be missed...

I am very saddened by this news. I was always in awe of the depth and breadth of knowledge he possesed in his field, but most of all I was impressed and touched by the enthusiasm, love, and passion he had for his job! He truly was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.

Condolences

Frankie - I heard the incredibly sad news about Dermot. I just wanted to pass on condolences to yourself and Sumner, and the rest of his family. Dermot was such a nice person, I had tremendous respect for him as both a person and work colleague. As you know, we worked together many times over many years and he produced excellent work and was always exceptionally good company. I particularly remember the enjoyable few days I had staying with you all in Pretoria a few years ago. My prayers and thoughts are with you. Andrew Sergeant

in remembrance

I knew Dermot for too short a time but feel so incredibly lucky to have met such a brilliant, enthusiastic, and incredibly kind being. His creativity, vitality, and goodness are truly an inspiration. His memory will remain always in the progress that he achieved and all those he taught and mentored.

Caitrin
