A wonderful man

I met him and Joan many years ago when he took over as leader of Fine Gael .I was a young 15 year old from West Cork terribly enthusiastic and very naive. He treated me that day as an equal and took the time to listen to my very immature rantings . If only more of us could be like him R.I.P

AGentleman who I have known since 1978

As a young freelancer photographer in 1978 I worked with a freelance agency in Cork and we did the PR work for Fine Gael over the two elections. Our mutual interest in aviation lead us to little chats over the past year ---how time has flown when I worked for 26 years at Independent Newspapers.God Bless You Garret and as you are laid to rest in Shanganagh to be reunited with your beloved Joan another great friend the trains and DART will be running on time on the Wexford Line nearby

God Bless You in the Big Airport in the Skies!!!A Friend
