VARD, (née Gray) Lucy (Sandyford, Dublin) peacefully, May 4, 2020 at home. Devoted wife of Leslie (65 years married ) and cherished mother of Derek, Cathy, Wendy, Lisa, Conor and the late Paul, and their partners Roisin, Rod, Breff, Barry and Sinead. Idolized by her grandchildren Jason, Alison, Geoff, Hannah, Sophia, Aaron, Zach, Jamie, John-Marc, Paul,Christian, Joshua, Joseph and Charlie and by her pet dog Penny. Loved and nurtured by her carers Mita, Glenda, Agnes, Alma, Antra and Ellanie. Due to restrictions at this time, a private family Funeral Mass will take place tomorrow (Friday) in St. Mary’s Church, Sandyford at 10.00 am followed by burial in Deans Grange Cemetery. MACKAY - Lila (Rathgar, Dublin 6) - On Lila’s First Anniversary Paul, Ronan, Elva and Gavan thank most sincerely our family and many friends whose kindness supported us during Lila’s long illness and also since her death. We greatly appreciate everyone who came to the repose at Fanagan’s Funeral Home in Rathfarnham, the funeral Mass at Terenure College and burial at Balgriffin Cemetery. We would like to thank the staff at Fanagan Funeral Directors and everyone who contacted us or sent cards and messages and provided support. We wish to extend our gratitude to Monsignor Ciarán O’Carroll who helped us with the funeral liturgy and celebrated the funeral mass together with the Carmelite Community at Terenure College and Sharon Lyons who provided music at the Mass. Finally, we wish to thank all of the staff of Lisheen Nursing Home at Rathcoole, Co. Dublin for the love and care they showed to Lila during her time at the Nursing Home and for the support they provided to all of us. Mass will be offered for all your intentions on today, Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Terenure College Church at 9.30am.
