ROY, David Donald - September 3, 2019 (late of Sandycove, Co Dublin) (peacefully) in the exceptional care of the Colles Unit at Blackrock Clinic following an illness borne of great courage and fortitude. Dearly beloved and loving partner of 38 years to Fionnuala Dunne, very loving dad to Carolyn and Hazel, much loved granddad to Alex, Amber and Emma. David was a dearly loved man who will be deeply missed by his son-in-law Aidan Gleeson, Hazel’s partner Michael Battista, his sister Dorothie and brother-in-law Peter Garratt, nieces Helen and Ruth and the extended Dunne family of which he was a huge part. A true gentleman he will be sadly missed by Missie, all his friends and those in tennis and hockey circles. Removal tomorrow (Thursday) to St. Philip’s Church, Temple Road, Dartry arriving for an 11am Funeral Service followed by a private cremation. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

JARRETT, VIVIENNE (née Briggs) (Arklow and her beloved Woodenbridge Golf Club). Peacefully in the exceptional care of the staff of ICU at St Vincent's Hospital, Vivienne passed away surrounded by her family on August 10, 2021. Wife of Ted (Hibernian Insurance), mother of Keith, Ian and Kevin, sister of Sylvia Briggs and the late Vera Lennon. Nana to Rachel, William, Rory and Chloe and great grand nana of Alea Kenny. Sadly missed by her daughters in law Bernadette and Carol, extended family and friends. The family would like to express their deep gratitude to all Vivienne's friends and the Staff of Knockrobin Hill Care Home in Wicklow who looked after Vivienne with loving care for the last years of her life. To follow current guidelines a private funeral will take place. A cremation committal service will take place today (Friday) at 1.45pm and can viewed on the following link https://vimeo.com/event/153499.
